  • how long did this take?

  • @kkknnniiiggghhhttt I don't remember a floor pan like that is probably 8-12 hrs. You should be able to get after it and swap one out in a day.

  • @kkknnniiiggghhhttt thanx im restoring a 1965 impala and im only 16 my first car,

  • Ok I need a bit of translation into uk english.. that red thing with the gear around it, you call a converter? What is it and where does it go? Is it part of an automatic transmission, torque converter, overdrive or what... I just don't recognise it at all.

    Cheers, Rissole

  • exactly, it's a stall/torque convertor, which will allow the engine to get to it's powerband before working the transmission.

  • i am still looking for a dart. what do you think of the coil over front end / k-frame / rack and pin conversion kit ?? they look the part, but is it wirth it if you only have leaf in the rear?

  • I've been looking for a 78-79 Ford 9" rear end for my firebird. I found one, but not sure if the guy is going to be able to sell it or not. I guess a lot of guys put those 8.75's in old muscle cars as well. I want something bullet proof, but the GM 12 bolts and Dana 60's ain't cheap!

I hope you film the hurt you put on that Supra when your Dart is ready.

  • He may want to leave the camera at home on race day. Just in case.

  • He should definitely take the camera on race day. There are at least a million things that can happen to the camera if the Dart doesn't prevail! Where did that huge magnet come from... lol.

  • His new camera is digital. I hear those cards can even go swimming. I'm actually pretty excited to see what happens. could go either way. Turbo VS. cubes.

  • The only thing I'm excited to see is that Supra in my rear view.

  • The only time you'd see me in your rear view is if we were bracket racing and I was still waiting for the light to come down in my lane.

  • Let's not forget experience vs. newbie, I've never drag raced a car before. When I win it's gonna hurt.

  • It'll definitely hurt 'cuz I'd have hit the wall if you won.

  • Sounds like you two will have an absolute blast come race day regardless of the result. I'm betting a Big Mac on the Dart to win. Do I get odds?

I'm sure Jeff will help you install your fuel line if you ask nicely (up against the exhaust and crimped) lol!

  • WoW Cool James! 5* 3500 will work but had some conserns when you mentioned the cam's too big? What type of fluid were you using? Anyways more stall means more heat! CK your tranny cooler & line size.

    Les

  • I'll keep that in mind.

  • HA HA.

  • hurry up and paint your dart jeff, i cant wait to see it.

  • Paint, What's that?

  • Man does know his mopars, good boy .

  • Did you custom bend the exhaust on your Dart or is it a kit?

  • I had the exhaust done by my friend Kenny @ Exhaust Works here in Tucson.

  • what is the advantage/purpose of the "H" pipe in the exhaust of your dart. I never really understood what the purpose was.

  • The h pipe is suppose to even out the exhaust between the 2 sides. Some say it makes more power in the low end.

  • Basically, yes, it evens out the pulses in your exhaust. If you think of it this way, each exhaust pulse helps to pull another pulse out of the other side thru the x pipe, kind of a scavenging effect. supposed to help low end torque, I have found it works well on the top end too

  • I was going to say it makes it sound cooler.

  • I know a true X-pipe helps to pull exhaust through, but I'm not sure that an H-pipe does.

  • It does help a little, not as efficient as an X pipe, but basically the same concept

  • cool
