  • Very amazing Song!

  • The FTD label released The Jungle Room Sessions where these songs were recorded: The Jungle Room at Graceland. Elvis refused to go to a studio so they had a mobile studio brought to his house. Elvis laid bare his heart and soul on those sessions. The Jungle Room Sessions album do not contain any overdub and everything is recorded live! You really can tell that Elvis sent out a message of pain and hurt. Just listen to his version of Hurt. The songs were used for the last 2 albums of his life.

  • So beautiful, thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks Jackie another beautiful and wounderful video and as always another beautiful song by Elvis. There wasn't a lot of pictures made of Elvis in the 70's and I miss that. I think he was wounderful every year of his life. I got a new book today called Images of Elvis and it has some wounderful pictures of him and his family in the earlier years . I just wish I could find more pictures of him in the 70's. He is the best of the best always and forever. Thanks E love ya!

  • a highly, highly underrated song of Elvis'.

These are the songs of his I cherish the most. FROM ELVIS PRESLEY BLVD. & MOODY BLUE.

  • Concordo contigo

    Ganhou o mundo e perdeu a alma (não literalmente...rs)

    Ele é o rei

  • Excellent 5 *****

  • It was no accident that he chose songs that reflected his life.

  • Hadn't thought of that but that is so true. Most of his songs after Priscilla were expressions of where he must have been in his own life. This song is so sad but beautiful.

  • I've felt & still feel such empathy for Elvis & the pain that he felt.

People focus on the ups & the advantages of being Elvis but rarely think about the spiritual agony that he endured over both the loss of his beloved mother and the dissolution of his marriage.

The songs that he sang DO reflect his life and in some the pain is so raw that it's almost hard to listen to as great as they sound. It's like he was bleeding from his soul and producing memorable works of art from the pain.

  • I have often wondered if his mom had lived longer, if things would have turned out differently for him. That was such a crucial period in his life and I feel it totally rocked him and shook him to the core. He definitely spent the rest of his life trying to fill the gaps in his heart/soul. I wish he had found more peace in his life. If anyone's life ever proved beyond doubt that Fame and Fortune do not bring the happiness and peace within that only God can give us.

  • @char4him99 its also really suspicious of the time of his mom's death and his own...Aug. 14, 1958 and Aug. 16, 1977

  • @89ford150302 had not thought of that.. good point..

  • @89ford150302: Elvis was a martyr. He knew he was a target and knew it was about Jesus. Jesus was assassinated then was seen again. You get the message. Elvis was assassinated then was seen again. It is proof Elvis was the martyr of martyr's.

  • @89ford150302 sorry it took me so long. Yes now that you mention it, that is quite puzzling.

  • @char4him99 I wonder if Cilla didnt divorce him, would he still be with us??? I know if he was my husband, i would of been gratefull if he came home pennyless at all xx

  • @leggs1964 well don't shoot me, but i am in the camp that thinks perhaps he shouldn't have married her at all. I mean it all is what it is now, but I think he really fell for Ann Margaret but he honored a promise to Priscilla's parents that he would marry her. And I think they had some happy years. This kind of song though shows his pain and heartache.

  • @char4him99 I always wonder the same thing too. I lost my dad at 12 and I'm in my 30's and I still find myself trying to fill his spot in my life with different things. Everything I read about him and all the things he did in life and it makes me think everything was to try to fill a void and he couldn't find it for some reason. You can tell too at the end that he loved to perform but that wasn't doing it anymore for him either. If she lived I think he would have taken better care of himself.

  • @char4him99 I just think his mom would have given him some stability in his life when things started to go so fast.. I love this song--but it is also such a sad song because I think it describes his life

  • @char4him99 YES I AGREE,

  • @char4him99

so very true - I couldn't put it better myself

  • @char4him99 I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW THAT MUST HAVE CHANGED HIM, HEARTBREAKING.

  • @char4him99 no love like a mothers.

  • @Pallindrom27 You totally got it. They were pushing rock songs to Elvis, but Elvis refused to record them. The only exception being Burning Love. in 1972 he recorded only a song or 6, but most of them where about loss and heartbrak. Just listen to Seperate Ways or the very underrated Always on my mind. In 1973 things were hard too. Elvis almost died days after the divore was final. In 1974 no recording session at all. 1975 a fine country album. In 1976 this came from his home and his heart.

  • Wonderful, but what happened to Elvis is really sad.

He was exciting and vibrant, but to his credit, remained a brilliant singer and performer. Wish he had found a June Carter.

  • Beautiful song and great video.5*****

  • I've always loved this song immensely. It's such an extremely brilliant and underrated song. This video was absolutely magical in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

  • Written by Jerry Chesnut. Recorded February 6-7, 1976 at Graceland. It is available on From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee, Walk a Mile in My Shoes-The Essential 70s Masters, and Moody Blue.

  • I have stumbled across your Elvis collection quite by accident but I am so glad I did. I have discovered some Elvis songs that I've never heard. Your informative tips on where and when each song was recorded is very helpful. You are an absolute Godsend to Elvis fans. I am so pleased and grateful. Thank you xx
