I was surprised that they didn't mention this in the video, but most mormons don't claim that the battle happened on the hill cumorah in New York. They believe the plates were buried there by Moroni, but I've heard many of them say that the battle itself probably was somewhere else, and the hill in New York was named after that location.

The Bible is approximately 40% prophecy, and it had been 100% accurate in its foretelling of Jesus' birth, passion, world events, etc. When we study prophecy indepth, it is absolutely amazing. So if the Book of Mormon is from God, why have there been many false prophecies by the founders? Why no archelogical evidence? The Bible says God is unchangeable, the same today and forever. We believe this is true, so why would He change the way He comminucates?

Proverbs 30:5-6: “Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”

If we look at the context it saying “Every word of God.” God is stating for MAN not to add to his words. Joseph smith is not God, nor is he Jesus Christ. Who is he to add another testiment to the bible?

The only reason the Salt Lake CIty Church stopped the practice was that in order for the U.S. Government to recognize Utah as a state they had to outlaw polygamy. the mormons were not the first people to arrive in the Americas, it has been scientifically proven, so how they can believe this i don't know. furthermore how awful is it to say that God punished them by turning their skin dark, and what they fail to realise is that they were originally from the middle east so therefore they would have already had dark/olive skin.

But if the plates weren't given back and is still with us today, then you might actually believe in the book but what is the use of faith? To see it is to believe it? Have anyone of us seen God? Did He hide the New Testament? No. There are over 5,300 manuscripts that date back into antiquity. 2nd century for the NT, mush older for the OT. Plus, there is abundant archeological evidence for the events in the Bible. Sadly, you won't be able to say, "I didn't know, " because you have been warned.

@newhope01 I beg to differ with you on that. I was raised a Mormon in SLC UT in a polygamy household, there were 3 wives, 1 husband and 3 different houses. I also came from the line of Joseph Smith and am a great, great, great niece of his. My great grandmother and her sister were married to the same man. Mormonism is steeped in polygamy from the very beginning, it's only when they get pressured that they change their doctrine to fit into society. Thank God he saved me from this false religion!

Of the 97 LDS Sects that practice Polygamy 60 of them practice it openly.

Only the "Rocky Mountain Saints" (that's the ones in Salt Lake CIty Utah) don't practice Polygamy (at least not publicly, it is done on a 'Spiritual' level even within the Rocky Mountain Saints).

Among ALL of the various Latter Day Saint Sects and Sub-Sects it remains a core part of the D&C.

The Bible does not have a HINT of forbidding polygamy. Although evidently the book of Mormon is a scam, there is NOT need to tell mormons who become christians to divorce their wives.
