You might want to make a video on your other channels to let people know you have this channel. Also, you could send this video to your YouTube friends. I noticed that you only have two subscribers on this account right now. You aren't going to get many views if nobody knows this channel exists.

jchansfanOFFICIAL shares all it's subscriptions except one guy with my main, so I was planning on just using PunkRockDependency to spread the word of both channels a bit more, though even PunkRockDependency videos have had difficulting scratching the 100 views mark lately, so I'm not sure it'll help much. But yeah ill feature the video or something. in fact i'm going to swap over to PunkRockDependency right now.

Re. Fred getting to a million subscribers, TheRealWeeklyNews has a graph of the most subscribed people on YouTube and how their subscriber base grew over time. Most big YouTubers took almost two years to get to about 80,000 subscribers. Fred got there in less than a month. He thinks YouTube was using Fred's channel as a guinea pig to see if they could make someone famous by putting his video in high rotation on the featured videos. He might be on to something there.

If it worked with Fred, it means it can work with their corporate sponsors' videos the same way. Of course, that stuff is all speculative and there's no hard evidence but it's entertaining to think about why Lucas can be so popular with his crap show while there are some who have more talent and have a hard time getting views.

Random: You know one thing I always wonder... Do you think the original Fred owner used his account? When sites like this start up people always snatch up basic names and often leave them to rot, but some are actually active. Like the owner of "Daniel"... lmao...

Do you remember my "We Must Save Youtube! LOL" or w/e video on my main? I forget if I included it in there or if it slipped my mind, but Youtube was totally pimping Fred in underhanded ways. Like my brother wasn't subscribed to him and yet he had Fred vids in his subscriptions(We went straight o Fred's channel to see if he was subscribed too, so you can be sure he wasn't just lying about a guilty pleasure). I feel bad for smosh, I think Youtube kinda betrayed them. To be continued...

I mean there were so many issues where Youtube messed up smosh's progress while Fred was their golden boy they pushed upon everyone every chance they got.

Might be an unrelated glitch, but around the time Fred passed smosh(within the three months before I believe) Youtube failed to include smosh videos in my subscriptions... :/

Smosh even got suspended at one point. They got their account back a day or two later but it's really odd that they got suspended in the first place.

TheRealWeeklyNews doesn't think Luca was in on it. Neither do I. They just picked them at random.

YouTube has content now like full episodes of TV shows and such. They're not viewable outside of the US though. We think they were practising and testing whether putting corporate stuff in high rotation in the features, would get them to the top.

Yeah that suspension was super sketchy. It was pretty damaging too IIRC, because I remember them saying something on IanH about losing a lot of favorites and stuff. Might have cost subscriptions too, though you'd think most people would probably have held out at least until it was all cleared up as it was relatively fast...
