  • SO I WAS PLAYING RIDGE RACER 2 VIA THE EXELLENT VIVA NONNO EMULATOR AND SPOTTED THE NAME OF THIS GAME ON A BANNER HERE I AM 17 YEARS LATER :)

  • That looks like tremendous fun with a group of friends.

  • another overlooked video games classic with cinematic experiences. this games deserved to be re-release w HD make over

  • this brings back good ol childhood memories thank you youtube! and tak0320

  • The reflection at 3:29 just shows how awesome this game was designed graphics-wise. :D

  • The closest place I have ever found a theater6 machine is in Portland. They had this playing, and it was the shit.

  • @noobasaurus2

    Portland, ME? or Portland, OR?

  • I remembered playing this game from so long ago in an arcade in Illinois (or maybe Indiana) , but never remembered the name until I searched like hell for it recently.

Thank you, youtube. I was starting to think I dreamt playing this or something.

  • Thanks for putting this up. I didn't expect to find any footage online considering that it's dual laserdisc and.. yeah.. I have no idea how you managed to make this work.

The game itself, though a big technical feat, I think they got lazy with the translation. lol

  • Could it be from 1994

  • How did you manage to emulate this?

  • It's from a Laserdisc of game footage.

  • Wow, that game is really short...

  • LOL at 5:07 the guy says cant touch this

  • Thanks for all the film you have put up of all these games that never came to the States.

  • Attack of the Zolgear came to the states, it was just rare because the theater was both massive and prohibitively expensive.

  • Oh. Thanks for clearing that up. Can i be safe by saying New York, NY had it?

  • The only working unit that I'm aware of is at Funworld in Nashua, NH.

However, it's been in a sorry state for a number of years (as an example, the sound synthesis is FUBAR'd, so the game is silent save for the clicking of the gun turrets).

  • what does FUBAR stand for?

  • Fucked up beyond all recognition.

  • Strange how the voices of the male and female commanders change to Japanese in the end...

  • @ZeetherKID77

There was footage in both Japanese and English on the LD. I believe the uploader played the video of one playthrough with the audio of the other in the opposite manner as his upload on Nicovideo.

  • If it wasn't for YouTube, it wouldn't possible to see this stuff again...Thank you!
