  • I am installing this in a new bedroom. If I follow the formula, I will have a 2" piece when I meet the boxed in cold air return. I simply chose to start with a full piece on that wall since it is exactly 6' when I meet the return. All it will do is result in a 4" difference at the end wall. Less headache that way.
