mmmm...I don't know guys, the idea for this movie was really really good, but I don't think they developed it the best way. this film is not really a masterpiece, nor has become a classic, it's still nice, but it could have been much more. Matrix, to me, is another level. Though, yeah, probably with Chris Bale as Neo, it would have been even greater. Equilibrium, relatively speaking, is probably the worse movie starring Christian Bale, otherwise all the others are great.

I'm not looking for a word fight. I've noticed on several boards many compare Matrix to Equi. In reality they are two VERY different films. One deals with enslavement of the human psyche while the other deals with the consequence of removing the human element from daily life. To me Equi wins out as a moral tale. Matrix started with a GREAT concept (who hasn't felt like maybe none of this is real?) and just let it slip into pandering to the fans.
one of my favourite films. so underrated. great performances by everyone, esp. bale and bean. great cast, great soundtrack, good story, great fighting scenes. I just love that film.

The each guard use an H&K G36, while Christian Bale's character uses modified Beretta 92FS.
The Beretta 92FS is capable of full automatic fire, but for this movie they changed it to a longer barrel among other aesthetic upgrades.

he is not dark! i think he is really cool! in my oppinions the better actor for matrix! but keanu reeves is also cool, and he done his job pretty well!

I happen to teach English III and IV. I also happen to think you're an asshole. Equilibrium is indeed better than the Matrix for several reasons. But to say Americans don't like truth? To bring his voting into question. Grow the fuck up. Personally I find the Machinist his best performance.

Yeah, but what if you give don't give a shit about Christmas? Point of fact Morris and I speak often now which is a good thing. Usually online the best people are met out of conflict. Oh, and my daughter is barely 3 so her Christmas shopping is easy - until she gets into the fads when she's older.......

ah well it could be worse. you guys could be arguing in L337 and making complete arses of yerselves. Yeah i know christmas doesn't apply to some people (those poor Japanese know not what they are missing) but it's a general "get-together-be-a-family-day" that i could use.
FYI get a separate savings account for your daughter while you still can. clothes are getting more expensive and you'll be glad to have some dough on hand

mmmm...I don't know guys, the idea for this movie was really really good, but I don't think they developed it the best way. this film is not really a masterpiece, nor has become a classic, it's still nice, but it could have been much more. Matrix, to me, is another level. Though, yeah, probably with Chris Bale as Neo, it would have been even greater. Equilibrium, relatively speaking, is probably the worse movie starring Christian Bale, otherwise all the others are great.

I concur. I cannot keep my eyes off the fucker when he's in a movie, even some of the tripe he's done. He gives so much more with a single look than the vacant Reeves gives with a full sentence.

I'm not looking for a word fight. I've noticed on several boards many compare Matrix to Equi. In reality they are two VERY different films. One deals with enslavement of the human psyche while the other deals with the consequence of removing the human element from daily life. To me Equi wins out as a moral tale. Matrix started with a GREAT concept (who hasn't felt like maybe none of this is real?) and just let it slip into pandering to the fans.

one of my favourite films. so underrated. great performances by everyone, esp. bale and bean. great cast, great soundtrack, good story, great fighting scenes. I just love that film.
