why is it that almost all of the front ender vids I see on here have guys that can not lift and level in one smooth action?, and they are all junker macks lol, get a volvo guys.
thankyou for sharing this video. it's the best heil front loader viev i have seen so far. that truck really packs. shame they don't have that lifting hopper door anymore. it holds the trash down while you pack,so trash don't spill over the blade. meaning less time and fuel spent packing.....
I used to build those. It's cool to stand on top of one in the back of the shop (Ft.Payne plant) and see the different stages of production. You see steel coming into the north end of the building and trucks in different stages as you look to the south. Then a finished unit emerges from one of the south doors.
Nothing crushes like a heil! BFI always was my favorite of the waste supermajors in the 1990's. WMI is my favorite big one now. (AW just doesn't have the same charm)
We need stickers on the containers stating that all cardboard boxes must be broken down/flattened or no service. That truck there is just like mine. Where you at with an 60 Gal. fuel tank and no tag axle?
Yeah people will obey stickers...as far as cardboard goes, I belive customers should only have access through a small slot and the lids held in place with a gravity lock bar to keep thing in order.
people need to upload more clips like this. I prefer funnier stuff myself, check out dolphinhump. lostfrog . com , I laughed so hard I got kicked out of class! haha.
don't know the exact time for the other 3, they are each serviced by different trucks and different companies.
I'll see about getting more, but its hard for me to have time from work to be here at the right time, and the last time I tried, I got run off by some "rent-a-cop" security before the truck came. Theres a big office building behind me, and I sure some overpaid exec didn't like the looks of someone lottering on the roof of his parking garage.
Yes, even a cheep camcorder is going to be better than this camera for video. This Olympus is great for still shots, but video just isn't its thing. I had bought it earlier for other things, so it was available.
If your buying a camcorder for this, try to find one with good night mode. As you well know, a lot of collections happen in the dark, and having a camcorder that can handle low light recording situations well would be an advantage.
It was an Olympus 8080, its mostly a still shot camera, but it does have a movie mode thats passable. A real camcorder would have been better, but you can't tell with youtube's compression.
5 stars man great vid and great job :D its nice to see a view like that by the way how many dumpsters are there anyway it looks like 6 are they all in one location or are there more dumpsters like that in the complex? i once lived in a complex that had 15 6 yd dumpsters
Yea, theres 6 dumpsters, but only these 3 are serviced by this truck. The area is kinda like a strip mall, and the individual businesses are allowed to pick there disposal company.

Why did he leave and not empty all the dumpsters.
arkansastrash320 3 years ago
My guess would be,...judging by the looks of the items in the one dumpster,...It looks like recycling in the other them.

Yeah, sometimes that works, but then they get lazy and throw everything in the trash container and the recycle cont. stay empty.

What BFI division is this truck based out of?
rd1027 4 years ago
This was shot in Austin Texas. I believe the BFI/Allied yard is over in Del Valley.

rd1027 4 years ago
Great video, however it has made it clear why these kinds of dumpsters are not used in CA.
shadofax96 4 years ago
On the contrary, I see plenty of these kinds of dumpsters on my route up here in the Nor-Cal...the're just not condensed that much like here.
brad202684 4 years ago
Well, So-Cal anyway ;-)
shadofax96 4 years ago
Why are they not used in Southern California? I can't see why.

I will, thanks for the advice, I can't wait to capture the true sound of my truck's engine and post better quality vids.
