  • what is Trusted Execution Technology ? and what for ??

it would be appreciated if anyones can explain about this TXT..

    thanks in advance

  • @ghaibboy Software-only virus scanners or spyware detectors don’t always prevent infection from viruses, Trojans, worms or even Spyware.

If this is a problem you are familiar with then you’ll want to know about Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT). This embeds several features into PC platforms that provide the building blocks required for your PC to be very much more resistant to malware attacks.

  • @intelitgalaxyuk aaah i c now.. thanks a lot for the explanation :)

  • @ghaibboy Through features in the processor, the chipset, the BIOS, with a Trusted Platform Module in your PC (supported by a hyperviser/operating system that is TXT aware), an environment can be booted which is guaranteed to have not been changed since the last time you booted which is resistant to most types of attack. This is available in Intel® vPro™ Processor platforms from all major PC OEM’s. Intel is working with software vendors on hyperviser /OS support, which we should see during 2011.

  • @intelitgalaxyuk thanks a bunch for your time to write this explanation.. appreciated it :)
