How is it that the car failing to stop caused the truck to run through three lanes of traffic? If the car hadn't been there, would the truck have taken the same path?

it was actually because he slammed into the car and they both went onto the grass. the semis rear wheels were touching the floor and locked up but since he was on the grass he had not traction and slid with the cargo weight.

That's the mistake a lot of people make when there are 3 or more people in their car. They drive like they are alone and they try to navigate a turn at normal speed an there is an extra 500-800 lbs in the car and they lose control. And if its late at night and there has been drinking, its a recipe for disaster.

as if terrorists need to be told that. there is very little to be gained by getting on to the runway, unless you can actually get to a plane. For sure, this truck would have been intercepted by several firetrucks matching its size before it had a chance of getting anywhere close to an aircraft.

That's right; on some german trucks stands: "If you accept reading last weeks newspapers, eat rotten food, you won't see us on the roads any more" or another: "Until we could send apples per e-mail, we have to share the road" and "I'm to slow for you? I want to see you running with 800 boxes of beer bottles!"

I don't. Most of them are ignorant and have no idea of the damage they can do by tailgating, speeding and so on. What we need is a breed of truckers deserving respect, not the low life shit heads that drive today.

i'd like to show truckers respect but its a little bit hard when they pull out in front of me all the fucking time and they cut me off all the fucking time and another thing... they say not to pull out in front of a truck because they can't stop on a dime... if thats true then how come they are always riding my ass at 70 mph on the highway??? If dumb ass truckers want respect from me they better give me some in return cuz i havn't seen a safe driving rig all my life.

Don't get me wrong, I give trucks the ability to cross in front of me when they need to or give them the right of way, but don't expect that people have to do this for you, its a givin privilage, not a necessary thing. that pisses me off!! many stupid fuckin' trucks have almost hit me changing lanes cuz they think they are slick shit and zip over real fast so they can just barely slide in. Rude fucks!

truck drivers think they own the road, they have no more rights than we do, stay in the fuckin' slow lane where you belong and don't try to drive the rig like its a fuckin car, it takes longer to accelerate, stop, and turn!! Stay the fuck out of my lane! Stay in yours! Ans stay out of the way of the standard driving car, they don't need to give you extra room or ne thing, your the one thats the minority on the road, you need to be respectful and slow down and give others the right of way.

@BleedingGasoline08 WE do own the road chump. We pay a tax for every mile we drive on that highway. It goes towards building and keeping these road up. YOU do NOT pay that tax. These roads were not built so you could go on vacation or visit grandma in Oklahoma. These roads were built for transport purposses. Route 66 was built to transport troops from the midwest to the ships in San Diego for the war. We SHARE these roads with you so pay attention and show some respect and rewatch this video lol

@Tudeburger that would almost be believable if troop transport wasn't mainly accomplished by rail, and route 66 was established in 1926, 7 years after WWI ended and 15 years before the US entered WWII. not to mention that Route 66 didn't end in San Diego, it ended in Las Angeles. Route 66 was built to make travel between Chicago and LA easier for EVERYONE.
also seems to me that if i visit my grandma in oklahoma that my car is transporting something
