@deadlybug don't say that, you can do anything you dream of if you put your mind to it, just try harder to get there.

Right idea, but you have to make sure that the air is driving it, otherwise you are still forcing the cords with too much muscle tension (watch your throat to see if it's relaxed) and basically screaming. The vocal cords fully connect on a scream too, but it is not a healthy sound for them to make regularly.

Just be careful here. I wouldn't ever ask singers to work a bigger sound without standing up and setting up the body so that the vocal mechanism is properly supported.

Does the mix sound better the stronger your head voice is? I am practising my head voice lots at the moment in the hope that it will make my mix stronger.

@thevinternet The head voice is one of 3 components that make up the mix, the other two being chest voice and that pharyngeal. So yes head voice will make your mix stronger, but don't neglect the other 2.

Its interesting to see when the "oo" vowel began to crescendo the vowel modified and airflow reduced. If she found the space in that small"oo" vowel but opened the throat and jaw then you would have heard a big sound and most of all vowel integrity!

she sucks, people should be very cautious of taking voice lessons or advice from people that are pop/rock oriented singers, most of them dont know much about real vocal technique or safety, study classical voice first/instead.

Dude, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am not trying to sing for a career but I'm trying to sing this song that has paowa in it and when I tried this, I felt like a new power was being born in me and I think I 'll be able to sing the powerful parts of this song with full paowa soon!

For those of you who don't get it, the way I did it was I sang the first syllable the way I normally do, then try to kinda shout it and it works!

I'm a real lover of music, and my desire of learn how to sing came from wanting to sing along my favourite metal songs.

I want to learn to sing and I know I did evolve in those 3 years I've being in a choir and singing stuff at home, but finding those videos today made me realize how I was doing many things in the wrong way.

I neglected my head voice thinking it was falsetto. Thank god I found it on time to correct.

@shortee0010 it's easy! try to say "oh boy!!" like Mickey Mouse. Or as if you were afraid of a dog: "Goooood boy".

It should sound really high and kinda goofy, but you'll notice you're not leaking air. Then you have to work with that sound, and work on giving it some chest power like the girl in this video did 8)

you gotta start thinking about resonance its called the mask its in the areas around the back of you're nose

if you try to hoot like an owl with pursed lips it helps you then once you feel the deep resonance try breathing a little jore out through youre nose try using Ng its basically a hum with youre mouth open, once you try this then go back to the video, might be a bit different for you

Her on set when she demos is very brittle, meaning the air wasn't flowing, and her release has big puff of air, meaning the air was being held back.  To add volume to your head voice, focus on a good clean on set where the breath and sound start simultaneously...use an "s" or a small "h" before your exercise to help balance your air. Focus on the air from your lower abs and really talking the lyrics in your head voice.
