Kessler is the final boss. He is an older version of Cole (the main character). He came back in time because he had let his arch nemesis (the beast) get too strong to be defeated and wanted to make sure Cole was stronger and more prepared for the beast. So he made him get his powers earlier and put him through tests to strengthen him.

One of the great things about the original was the way it allowed you to use both your powers and your agility to move around - free-running across rooftops or gliding through the air, it really gave you so much freedom.

This looks like it should not only sustain that, but make it better. And I haven't even mentioned the more aggressive powers. 2:42 is AWESOME.
