There is no reason why AIC shouldn't continue to be a band. Layne will of course be missed. He brought somthing to AIC that will never be matched. But William Devall has done nothing but impress the hell out of me. He never tries to be Layne, and he adds his own thing to these songs and in my opinion has earned his place in AIC. They are still as good as they ever were and have many more years left.

Alice In Chains isnt Alice In Chains w/ out Layne Staley.....His voice was wat made them amazing, he has one of, if not, the most amazing vocals, he could do anything w/ his vocals. No1 will ever, EVER, have vocals like Layne.

Layne ended up in a similar way as Kurt, he was neither better in dealing with drugs, nor worse.

Right on, brother. I've seen Chains twice since last September and DuVall is mighty impressive live. Best of all, the whole group comes together like classic AIC, you can almost feel Layne in the building. To any doubters out there, give your head a shake, the band lives on.
