Is there not a soup kitchen where the homeless can have a coffee and muffin in the a.m, lunch and supper? I am from New Brunswick and Fredericton does this for the homeless.
@jenii84 there is more than enough free food programs in the DTES than anywhere i have ever seen.the reason people get skinny and malnourished down there is by choice and drugs.

@Dealit707 Methadone, as discussed in this video, is what doctors prescribe to wean addicts off of heroin. Methadone, however, is just as addictive and damaging as heroin, so the addicts just end up getting addicted to methadone. The fact the pharmacists get commission off of it is basically them making profit off of addiction. Therefore, many see it as corrupt and thus, "fucked up".

Methadone is a killer.
