Oh god, his voice is so beautiful. This song is proof that Dragonforce is more than "Through Fire and Flames." -- which most people criticize them solely based on that song. :) This band is truly a very talented group.

Listen to the song "Revelation (Death's Angel)" by Manowar. That song has the best singing. (the singer [Eric Adams] was in his late 20s or early 30s at that time) And the singer can still sing at the age of 50 something. Listen to "The Dawn of Battle." It's by the same artist.

hmmm, this Power Metal ballad is not so good... I find the ZP voice too flat and boring, almost without feeling... the trick to make an excelent ballad is an appasionated voice like Tony Kakko singing Shamandalie(Sonata Arctica) or Timo Kotipelto singing Forever(Stratovarius)... go hear 'em before marking my comment

I took the time to listen to both the songs you mentioned and I do agree that both singers put a lot of passion into the their words to make two very great songs; however, I have to respectfully disagree with you saying there is a lack of feeling in ZP's voice. Shamandalie and Forever are both songs of heartbreak and regret so they are sung with deep sadness. Starfire on the other hand is about fighting for a better future so ZP's voice is filled with awe, hope and even inspiration.

I saw Dragonforce at Rams Head Live in Baltimore and just incredible. As good as Gamma Ray and Helloween live. ZP's vocal live would equal any of the great metal vocalist pure perfection.

This is one of their demos from Valley of the Damned that I think actually sounds better than the final version (this is the demo version if you didn't know). I think that overall everything fits better together. Yes, ZP's voice does fall off pitch in some instances, but I think that that adds more to the song and makes it more emotional, but that is just me. =)

There's no doubt about it that Through the fire and the flames is a great studio song... but no more than that,,, Starfire is not a song re-charged as TTFATF but in my personal opinion is so fucking better....
