Just got a flyer from the Århus chapter of the Church in the mailbox today for an internet based "personality test". The obscurantist means by which this wicked corporation peddles its insanity really makes my blood boil. It's too bad that it still seems to be profitable for them to keep this church going.

Jeg kunne godt tænke mig at høre hvordan i gjorde det - Jeg var ved selv at tage ind på Storkongensgade -- De har jo et "dialogcenter" dér, men jeg har ikke prøvet at protestere før, og jeg fik ikke svar fra politiet da jeg prøvede at kontakte dem, og jeg vil helst ikke arresteres hvis der er en eller anden lov med at det skal anmeldes ligemeget hvad. Hvordan står det? Kontakter jeg dem igen denne gang eller behøves man ikke det når det kun er en selv og muligvis et par andre?

Scientology has a bad rep in Denmark - a lot of people are, as you say, suspicious of them.

I know his bday is the 13th, but isn't it a great way to p*ss off Scientologists? :-D

N. Europe (Britain, Scandinavia, Germany etc) is generally pretty secular anyway, especially compared to places like the US. Its easier to see the bad side of a religion when you're not led to believe that religion, generally, is "good". Its hard to explain properly, but the climate is such that anyone holding obvious religious beliefs is thought of as a little weird, & religions in gen are treated with more suspicion. Not that this should matter of course, since the €o$ is NOT a church!
