  • So, this ship M. Oldendorff was helped by argentine icebreaker " Almirante irizar" in Antartica

  • Anyway.... this ship gave me the best time i ever had in my life. Because i spend such nice time in Cape Town... my first love..... aaaahhhhhhh Cape Town

  • I was a technician at board the vessel Magdalena Oldendorff once before she was sold. I was working on her in South Africa Cape Town (December 2002 - January 2003) when she arrive from the Artic. We dismanteled the (i think) portside enginee and we figured out the crank shaft and even the cam shaft was totally overheaded and to hard. So we just assemble the enginee and the company sold the ship. Say said, the chief engineer was using the enginee without preheating the lubricating oil....

  • i was once a crew of this ship
