Hi i am a student filmmaker in training. I was wondering if I could use this piece for my next project with your permission. Of course, you will be credited.
I was working with cubase, but now I have updated to mac and Learning to use the full features of Logic Pro 8. These sounds weren't VST or midi, it was a direct out from the built in midi keyboard (yamaha psr - 2000)
ive only got one critique and thats just the melody thats just going up the scale, i do think something more imaginative could have been used, but it is awesome anyway, im just getting into film score composing, its amazing
Aside from the RAM/out-of-sync issue, this is a lovely melody, hauntingly arranged, perfomed in a film score style. Perfectly usable as intended for movie soundtracks. But, it's the perfomance that makes it so, not the composition itself. This beautiful little melody could easily accomadate a lyric/vocal... and with a bit of a re-arrangement, make a great little pop ballad kinda thangie! Anywayzzzzzz... great job, shows talent and promise. Keep it up and THANKS for posting it!
The out of sync was caused by my computers hardware specification and not having enought ram. Im running a macbook on leopard, and find garageband rather good for songwriting etc. I don't find cubase hard to use at all.
I'm using the sound from my Yamaha's sound bank, it's played through a midi compatible keyboard, I used direct audio for recording to create a better sound.
How much of this was actually recorded and how much rendered? And what was the program you used? It's pretty good, and you got some good sounds out fo it.
music is great,!

there are lots of superb VSTi softwares for Strings, guitars, pianos and so on.
so, i think very bad sound

I was gonna say, it does sound like a keyboard rom set. Kinda reminds me of Zelda.
With a nice VSTi like Philharmonik or EWQL Orchestra and some dynamics, this would sound a whole lot better I think.

Hi Simnos1,
Everything here was recorded directly off my Yamaha PSR 9000 via a L/R audio out. Basically I layered it on top of one another (track by track).
