  • Love this video!! I like your approach to protecting your handgun with your left hand freeing your right hand for secondary defense. I teach my security officers to do the same exact thing. I also teach them to deploy the Taser with the weak hand. Thus freeing the strong hand to go to the handgun if you get bad Taser contact. I see a lot of police officers that cross holster the Taser for strong hand deployment and I feel this is a mistake!! I'm a personal protection officer (bodyguard in some

  • Wait are u a cop or a regular person Cruz u were talking a bout calling the Calvary

  • @2Ninjas1Sword I am a former law enforcement officer, but in the event a you are involved in a shooting, as soon as it is feasable you should call law enforcement for assistance. Police are better equiped and have a lot more resources than the regular citizen. This is why I refer to "calling the cavalry". Remember, if you know you're going into a gunfight, you always bring a friend...and a long-gun. :-)

  • This is my favorite edc video

  • @ItzDuckSauce Thank you very much, it is a great compliment.

  • "I need to use this to get the FUCK out of there" Love it. Great video, thanks for the tips and load-out review.

  • @The3rdID You are very welcome. I am always glad to help. Take care!

  • Like that you just talk weapons, etc. All these vids with people talking about their keys and phone.. Nice job. You mention that fall, winter, and spring you wear the jacket but what about the summer? How do you conceal then?

  • @sbujim Thank you for the reply. During the summer, I wear a 5:11 tac vest, or just a loose fitting t-shirt over my gear. Regardless, I alwas wear my gear on my belt, no ankle holsters, shoulder-rigs, etc. I keep my gear uniformly positioned on my person where I have to work the least to get it in the case I need it right now. Take care!

  • hey buddy, I remember watching this a year ago and just come across it again. have you updated your CC or is it still the same? :)

    one happy subscriber!

  • @chemolovesairsoft I have done a minor update, I will be sure to knock out a video on that. Thanks for the reminder!

  • Like the video you have put out showing options to new concealed carry permit holders. The only issue I have with this video is referring to your firearm/gun/pistol as a "weapon". If you're ex-military, I get why. I was instructed to never refer to my knife or firearm as such being a concealed carry permit instructor. It CAN be used against you in a court of law. Over all, great video!

  • @CCWinstruktor You are 100% correct. I am former military and when I went through my instructors course, they informed us all to use the term "firearm" or "handgun". It is an old habit that is hard to break. When I teach classes, I have to remind myself constantly to not call it a "weapon". Thank you very much for the feedback! Best wishes!

  • as there are no fire arms aloud where i live here, the torch is a great tool.by the way like your approach as the take care of business straight to the point no fucking about.

  • @TheMRPassionfingers Thank you very much! Best wishes!

  • I like your style. This is a really informative video and I like your approach to conceal carry. I'm a civilian with no formal training, but I'm always looking for tips to consider for my own plan of concealed protection. Thanks for making this video!

  • @ItsNoha Thank you very much. I am always happy to be a resource for those who enjoy firearms & conceal-carry.

  • To add on to my other comment...If you wanted to carry your knife on the right side, why not get a tactical pen for the left side pocket? I carry a smith and wesson tactical pen.

  • @ItzDuckSauce Tactical pens are a great resource and I think that is a great idea! Thank you for the input, I will have to look into getting one of those.

  • @ItzDuckSauce Yeah true about the pen, those things are actually pretty handy. As for drawing the weapon, if someones that close that you have to physically block them from grabbing your gun and resort to a knife, you don't want to be drawing it, because who knows who might get control of it. Id leave it there, prevent it from being used against me, the only time I would draw is when I would have 100% control of the weapon.

  • In this video I saw that you were carrying your knife on your strong side...I wouldn't do this. If someone is going for your gun odds are your right hand will be trying to cover the gun up to make it harder for them to grab...which leaves your left hand open to take the knife out and cut their hand or wherever you can get to. I'm surprised you didn't do this anyways being that they teach you this at the academy.

  • @ItzDuckSauce Haha did you watch the same video as us? He did clearly state that he uses his own method, not the academy one. He trains to cover his weapon with his left hand, leaving his right hand free to defend with a knife.

  • @The3rdID thats why i responded to my own comment with the tactical pen comment. My only problem would have been what if his right hand is unavailable to draw his weapon?

  • I do carry my cuffs on a daily basis, the logic being that yes if I'm in a situation where I'm completely alone with an assailant I can simply hold him at a distance in a prone position, but if there are others around where one can cuff him while I hold, or in a situation where I use my defense light or knife to incapacitate an individual I can secure them while awaiting the police

  • @NikySportsPromotion All that is great if the threat isn't dedicated in taking your life. My EDC is based around both options - less lethal & lethal, with the mindset that I train to attack my aggressor with more dedication so I win and go home at the end of the fight while he takes a trip in an ambulance. You never know when a violent encounter may occur. I know where my threshold is and I know to stop once the violent attack on my life has ceased. It's all about YOUR survival, remember that..

  • "press the happy button and pop a cap in him"??? not exactly giving ccw a great name there.

  • @NikySportsPromotion Sorry I wasn't "politically correct" enough for you. Have you ever been to any firearms training classes? If so, you would understand the dark humor behind the commentary. I promote legal conceal carry, quality training, knowledge of local - state & federal laws, and proper mental state. I think I'm doing just fine. Thank you for your input though...

  • Why do you choose .40?

  • @Friedstuffsable The .40 S&W has a great track record. It is the #1 most used round among law enforcement accross the U.S. There are a ton of options when it comes to personal defense ammunition, and you can find it most anywhere. Also, it is easy to reload for. I like that with my Glock 23, it has high capacity, yet it isn't overly heavy. I also have a .45 Kimber that I love to carry as well, but with the 1911 Kimber, I lose magazine capacity - but I don gain a much larger round :-)

  • very nice choice

  • What i want to know is...... Where do you live that you need this?

  • @DaneGleesack I live in Denver, CO. I live by the principle that it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Predators can attack anytime, anywhere...and I like being prepared to defend my life (or my family's life) rather than be another violent crime statistic. I carry this equipment, because a cop is too heavy. :-)

  • Nice channel bro great bids check mine out letter me know what you think I got videos to come,

  • What kind of handgun do you recommend? Glock or S&W?

  • What kind of knife do you have? And do you recommend it?

  • @LiLR3NO My most current knife that I carry is the Smith & Wesson HRT. It is a fixed blade and for the money, it is an excellent knife. The sheath is something to be desired, but it works. The other knife I carry for utility purposes only is the CRKT Apache 2 (full serrated blade) folder-style. That is an excellent knife, but for self defense I prefer the fixed blade.

  • definitely don't want to fuck with that guy lol

  • I'm thinking of switching to Hornady XTP 165g for my carry. I want more penetration and more accuracy but not something that will over penetrate and possibly hit someone else. I like the serpa holster because it actually if used right will prevent an accidental discharge because alot of people have this thing about automatically putting their finger on the trigger when they draw.

  • @Primal67060 I like the Hornady XTP bullets a lot. I re-loaded some 155 grain XTP in .40 for my Glock and they work great. I like the Serpa Holsters, but not so much for Glocks simply because of the higher possibility of an accidental discharge. I run one on my 1911 Kimber all day long. Thanks for the comment, stay safe & take care!

  • So fucking true, and that is why I have respect for you sir. Great channel by the way!

  • @aidensipodmod Thank you very much!

  • I carry my knife in the same place but I like the tatical move you have shown as something I can learn to help myself in a stress situation. I have a G23 with 3 standard 13 round mags one in the gun, the other two tucked inside my pants on my left side for easy access. You'll have to make some more vids on moves! I have a blackhawk paddle holster with the index push lock which is nice because you use your trigger finger to release and it automatically outside the trigger gaurd on draw.

  • @Primal67060 That is an excellent load-out you have. I like the Blackhawk Serpa holsters for most firearms but for Glock pistols you really have to be careful not to engage the trigger when drawing. There has only been a couple of recorded discharges while drawing a Glock from a Serpa holster. I am glad the video gave you some good insight. I will take your advice and look at making another video covering close-quarter moves. Thanks again!

  • if you are law enforcment why dont you open carry.?

  • @kiaalee I am "former" law enforcement. Also, regardless if I am active law enforcement, or carrying as a civilian...open carry draws WAY too much attention - mostly negative. Also, with open carry, the bad guy knows without a doubt that you are in fact armed. Having the weapon concealed gives you the element of surprise in a gunfight. I would rather the bad guy NOT know I am armed until he feels the sharp pain of my Hornady XTP's entering his body. ;-)

  • You're awesome. You're one of the few cops that will say that you will kill someone if they mess with you.

  • @Omen4500 Thank you Omen4500. I have simply prepared my survival mindset and made a vow to always come home at the end of the day and if anyone tries to prevent me from doing that will be met with 100% resistance. Stay safe & thank you again!

  • Very powerful CCW load. Few people have the tenacity to carry such a full set--with the light, extra mag, and G23, that'd get tiresome for many folks. I'm especially impressed with your weapon retention system with the knife, and also your non-lethal weapon option, the flashlight. Above all, it is refreshing to see how comfortable you are with your plan--you have gone through great lengths to understand and effectively execute this system and it shows. The jacket must be a pain sometimes though!

  • @lordmahan11 Thank very much for the post. You are 100% correct in the fact that the jacket can sometimes be a pain in the backside. To help eliminate that being an issue, I keep my car keys or something with a small amount of weight to it in my front right pocket, so when I need to clear the garment, the extra weight assists with that. Thanks again & stay safe!

  • Very informative Bud. One question, how do conceal when the weather is hot and clothing is very minimal?

  • @jonnyonthepot Excellent question. When the weather gets on the hot side, I wear a 5-11 tactical vest with a t-shirt on underneath. It has tons of pockets for my cell phone, note pad, pen, car keys, etc. and it conceals my firearm very well.

  • Very informative Bud. One question, how do you conceal in hot weather when your clothing is very minimal?

  • Thanks for posting this great EDC video. Excellent philosophy of use and very informative reasoning for concealed carry resources and requirements.

  • @JungleJimAB9AB Thank you JungleJim! I always glad to be a good resource for people. Take care & stay safe!

  • So will a glock 19 mag fit in a 17 mag pouch

  • @flamingducksairsoft Yes it will. The only difference between the two is the over-all length of the magazine. However, make sure if you use a Glock 17 magazine pouch for a Glock 19, the magazine does not fit too "deep" into the magazine pouch which would make it very difficult to acquire under stress. Hope this helps. Take care & thank you for the question!

  • nice vid should i get a fobus with dual mag pouch or a serpa holster. for airsoft though and a glock 19. thanks in advance

  • @flamingducksairsoft With the holster, it all depends on the level of retention you want. The Fobus is a "passive retention" holster. The Blackhawk Serpa is one up from that. In my opinion, I think the Serpa is a bit much to spend for airsoft use. The Fobus will probably work just fine and keep the cost low. If you are using the airsoft as a training tool for your actual conceal-carry loadout, then go with what you would use for your EDC. Take care.

  • liked your vid!

  • not a problem man just keep em comming lol

  • i can say i have nothing to disagree with in ur vid it was great u do good explaning as well

  • @langstonracing428 Thank you very much!

  • Thanks for the info. Look at the corbon's stats, not very impressive when compared to the Winchester ranger. Just check it out, that's all I'm saying. good video though.

  • @Marc4166 I agree. I came into the Corbons at an extremely good price so I couldn't pass it up. You are absolutely right about the Ranger PDX-1 ammo being better. Right now I am trying to pick up some of those bullets to reload and use them. Thank you for the info!

  • Love the Glock 23 as well! I used to carry my first handgun which is a Para .45. Switched over to a Glock 23 and never looked back.

  • @ThirdGenerationDGAF I hear ya there! For the longest time I carried my Kimber TLE II, and as much as I love my 1911, it was a lot heavier than the Glock. Take care & be safe!

  • dude this really helped thanks man keep up the good work oh and i love the username

  • @sirshit7 Thank you very much. Always glad to help. The only change I have made since this video was made is the knife. I have since gotten away from the folder and went with a fixed blade knife. Take care & stay safe!

  • Amazing video man.

  • @RealMemoryDecay Thank you very much!

  • i waatched sum of ur vids but this made me love you just said sum real shit "if i pull it out im using it" lol that is truth at its fullest

  • @lukakapyro Thank you very much. It makes it all worhwhile if I know at least 1 person is able to take something from my videos in a positive way. Take care & be safe!

  • @TangoDownProduction do the same brother

  • @lukakapyro You obviously didn't have education at it's fullest. Learn to spell simple words, you fool.

  • @EMace45 wow u(you) r(are) supa(super) lame(lame) 4(for) dat(that) 1(one)

what makes u even comment on my spelling fucking trolls lulz lol u a hater

  • @lukakapyro Do you realize that you spelled lame the same way twice? You fail, sir. Please do the rest of the world a favor and put a nice .45 round in your skull.

  • @EMace45 I OWN A 40 SO NO

  • @EMace45 becuz dats how u spell lame dumbass

  • @lukakapyro I am sure that if you had any trace of intelligence, you would understand what I was talking about. Let me explain: You spelled everything else incorrectly and then spelled it correctly in parentheses, basically adding a negative with a positive. But by spelling "lame" correctly twice, it was like adding a positive with a positive. Do you see where your faulty logic has proven your worthlessness? Think before you take action, it will save you from future embarrassment.

  • @EMace45 not to poke fun but if you're going to correct his grammar/spelling/punctuation you might want to throw a semicolon in the last line between action and it (btw I am not demonstrating correct grammar or punctuation in this comment so correcting me will not earn anyone any ground)

  • im not trying to be a smartass but how do you use the flashlight as a intermediate weapon?thanks

  • @miamirider12 I took a class a while back from a local instructor by the name of Steve Materkowski. He teaches for Defensive Response Tactics Inc. (D.R.T.). He has a video on YouTube here under Paladin Press called "Light Him Up". Search that and you will get a good concept on how to use a flashlight as an intermediate weapon system. Thank you for the comment!

  • I like your style, and the knife is a good back up option

  • Lmfao! the second mag is to get me the fuck out of there... thats some good shit!!!!

  • @sexybologna111 Glad I brought some humor to your day. Funny as it is true...a handgun is strictly defensive and a great tool to fight your way back to a long-gun if you have one. Have a great day!

  • What do you think about G23C compensated as a CCW. Does the gun being compensated negatively affect the glock being a good CCW gun in any way?

  • @stak45DDS I think the Glock 23C is an outstanding firearm and the fact it is compensated doesn't affect it's ability to serve as a good conceal-carry firearm at all. I think it boils down to preference. I do notice a significant difference in firing a "C" model Glock at night over one that is non-compensated. Just something to consider, but either way they are both great handguns.

  • what do you do for a living?

  • @OperationOvercoat Firearms Instructor.

  • I think I love you.

  • "This magazine is to get me the FUCK out of there"-classic

  • shit man!!!! if zombies ever try to take over the world i hope like hell you stay down the street from me!.. killer vid man..

  • @SouthernDoom666 LOL, thank you.

  • Excellent piece of work!! Thank you very much for Sharing!!!!!

What a way of meeting people and get to see their talent. At first was reluctant being on youtube, but getting to do this has brought me into the houses of some very special people. You are one of them. Life; isn't it wonderful!!! Keep up the good work. Hope You Are Having A Splendid Day!!!!

  • Sorry for asking a question you may have already gotten:

As someone with a LE background, how do you and other LEOs feel about law-abiding citizens legally carrying a concealed firearm? I've heard officers like it and it makes them feel more confident in the person, but I haven't had the chance to ask an actual officer.

Anything you can offer in terms of perspective is greatly appreciated!

And Thank You for your service!

  • acquisitionable?

  • @BehindThePlate42 If you are referring to the firearm, yes. I only advocate carrying strong-side or appendix carry for that reason.

  • why is it that only middle aged, out of shape old men think its cool to wear a bluetooth headset? really old flabs? really? bluetooth isnt cool? EVER!

  • @coburna5 Middle-aged, out of shape? I think somebody is being a bit over zealous. I'm far from middle-aged or out of shape.

  • @coburna5

He's not wearing tt to be "cool", you stupid (untrag.

  • lol @ bluetooth

  • @xgiantsfan78x You definitely make a good point. The reason I keep the flashlight there is that I don't mind making an effort to reach for a flashlight...I like making minimal effort reaching for my magazine. If someone approaches me and needs a flashlight, I will just pull my coat up over the flashlight only and remove it that way, rather than expose all my equipment in order to get to it. Imagine if I had a weapon-mounted flashlight how awkward that would be! LOL. Take care & thanks again.

  • LOL!

''i don't mind leaving a few souvenirs in the guys face'' haha

    Great vid, love the loadout.

  • what knife was that? was it auto or assisted open?

  • @bossman12334 The knife is an assisted-opening folder. I don't carry that particular knife anymore, I now carry a fixed blad Smith & Wesson HRT....which reminds me I need to add a video about my updated gear.

  • This is going to be my load out now...awesome

  • @Mitchell556 Thank y ou Mitchell556! Glad I could help.

  • This is my new load out...

  • check out my vids on carrying your knife on weakside...

  • ..happy button?>...o...k....

  • Always enjoy EDC videos. Great commentary. Check out my Concealed Carry videos and let me know what you think. - Shane George

Concealed Carry "GUN in your Jeans" by TheGeorgeGuide

  • wow!!!!!!! the way people think these days, he so bored, he really want to shoot someone, he's very happy "(

  • hey nice vid. the only longer one i have been able to get through. do u know where i can get a 32 round mag for a glock?

  • @mustangkespe There are a few places on the internet where you can find them. It all depends on the caliber of your Glock also. I will send you a message with a couple links I have found useful.

  • @TangoDownProduction; thanks let me knw.

  • @TangoDownProduction hey where would i go to get a belt like that?

  • @eroupe117 If you don't have a local police supply products store, I recommend going to Galls on the internet. You can just Google the name and it should be there. Galls has a huge selection of police supply products including conceal carry belts.

  • @mustangkespe if your looking for a 9mm 33 round mag, glock makes them and I think you can find them at botach tactical. If you have a .40 cal. Glock now has 22 round mags and botach sells them too. You can always use mag extensions but in my experience if you gonna carry the mag for self defense they are not as reliable. Try and stay away from after market mags for Glocks because they suck shit.... specially if the mags are gonna get used for self defense.

  • @Eslamizar thanks but i dnt knw where botach tactical is??? im in indiana right now its going to be more for the range and maybe a lil home defence.

  • Good info!

  • @JNielsen67 Thank you!

  • Interesting that you don't talk about a tactical knife like a Spyderco or Benchmade. I find a pocket knife to be indispensable in everyday use. BTW, I carry a Glock 23 also.

  • Why cant you just bust a cap in some guy? hell, i would bust two or three, serve the punk right. :D im just kidding. nice video

  • really like your vids hope to see more in the future

  • @littleeagle100 Thank you! I plan on putting more up soon!

  • Thats a pretty cool belt I didn't know they made them like that I will definately have to look into one of those. What kind of edc blade are you carrying? You should look into the paddle holster made by Blackhawk witch I own it has a type of barb on the inside that digs into your clothing so it will not come out.

  • @Outdoorsmen44 Right now I am carrying a different knife than the one shown in this video. I currently carry the Smith & Wesson HRT fixed-blade knife. As far as a paddle-holster goes...I'm really stuck on not tempting fate, so I will stick with my belt-thread holsters, but thank you for the info. Take care!

  • no offense but if you are law enforcement trained why do you not feel comfortable handcuffing with no backup. Around here we can not just wait for back up everytime someone needs to be put in cuffs.

  • @imo0331 The reason I don't feel comfortable is because when I'm out there in the civilian population, I don't have the luxury of a police department at the touch of a radio button. If I go "hands-on" with a subject I proned out at gun-point and he/she decides to fight me, I have now put my own life and possible others in jeopardy if the assailant gets my gun from me. It's easier just to hold him/her at gunpoint until the cavalry shows up.

  • how tdo u cAAAry it without getting arestted

  • @posso32 Easy... it's called a concealed carry permit, which was issued to me by my local Sheriff's Department after filling out & submitting the proper paperwork.

  • @posso32 48 states allow citizens to carry firearms concealed with the proper certification.

  • @mtefft Not sure the number is that high...I know California, Illinois, New York, just to name a few don't issue permits, or only issue in extremely rare circumstances.

  • @TangoDownProduction The data came from WikiPedia, for what it is worth. Although as you point out, some only issue under rare circumstances.

  • On your belt any chance of looking to see what the manufacture's is? Maybe model / style number

    Thanks

  • @oamaam21 Well...here's the dilemma. I have owned this belt for a long time and bought it when I first entered the world of law enforcement for off-duty carry. I know it's made by Aker which is also a huge manufaturer of holsters, accessories, etc. Don't quote me, but the model # may be B21. Next to the buckle my belt is stamped B21-32. I think the "32" is for the waist size. I hope this helps.

  • @oamaam21 Just check out Galco ( i think it's usgalco.com). I've been using their belts for 10 years and never had one even wear out yet.

  • @nw1911guy Thank you for the input! I have used some of Galco's holsters in the past, they make quality products and use good leather. Nice to see a piece of gear that works for the long-haul.

  • Who makes the belt you mention ?

Good vid remember your a Leo not everyone has the skills u do.

    Semper Fi.

  • @oamaam21 True that many do not have the skills of a LEO, but really that is just an issue of training. Prior to my time in the US Military and in the LE comunity, I invested time and money into training as every CCW holder should. As a CCW holder, you have a responsibility to train your body and mind to meet any threat head on. Just haveing a gun does not protect you. The weapon will not save you, you will save you. TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN.

  • @WildEyeIV AMEN! 100% true!

  • Nice Glock 23.

  • @freeze427 Thank you very much!

  • im so happy ive got my carry lisence now in tennessee you dont have to hide it

  • What type of belt was that?

  • @jkmcdani LOL, I wish I knew my friend. I bought it several years ago, however, look at the Galls website and see if you can find any reinforced belts for conceal carry. Here in the Denver area there are a couple of places to check, Precinct Police Products & Neve's Uniforms & Supply.

  • when im older i will get a steel re-enforced belt for my kids....lol

  • @AnTHoNyB1125 LOL AnTHoNyB - Remember though... if you're going to whip your kids, take them to Walmart first. LMAO

  • sub'd

  • @eldogg4life Thank you very much!

  • Surefire?

  • @blackhawkbn Yes. Surefire G-2 with an upgraded head.

  • @TangoDownProduction Cool thanks, I use a Fenix LD20 for my EDC but am planning on switching to a Surefire. Great vid, keep up the good work.

  • @blackhawkbn LMAO, I am actually moving the Surefire to a weapon system and use the Fenix LD20 for my EDC. I am making the switch because the Fenix has a "strobe" feature that the Surefire does not.

  • @TangoDownProduction Lol thats funny, but I really like the LD20. I also have the LD10, its about half the size and still pretty bright. The thing with Fenix is that it does not have the momentary-on feature which would be nice for tactical purposes.

  • What is the make and model of your knife? Thanks

  • @hadeayokelumbar The knife you see in this video is an inexpensive knife I picked up at the local gun show (not sure of make & model). However... my other knife I like to carry is a Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) Apache 2 with a 3 1/2 inch blade.

  • What is the make and model of your knife? Thanks

  • What make and model of knife is this? Thanks

  • r u a cop

  • @codybrownnypd I used to be. I've served in both civilian and military law enforcement. Now I have my own training business.

  • nice fucking load out.... i dig it

  • @snake5044 Thank you!

  • What about summer carry? Do you use the same gun and holster?

  • @satorres82 Yes I do. I wear a 5:11 tactical vest in the summer so I don't get to hot. It works really well. I have a video where I talk about it. Otherwise, I am waiting to get the E-HUD holster which is an inside-waistband appendix style carry holster. It cost $95 so when I have the money I will be using that as well.

  • Nice basic setup. I like your weapon retention technique.

  • Dude why don't you just become a Cop. Carrying all that shit wanna be superhero.

  • @DaRealHOOKS I was in law enforcement. I don't claim to be a "super hero". I don't support your bravado. I support survival in our society as law-abiding citizens who refuse to be a victim. Congratulations... you're blocked.
