I grew up to these songs; dancing around as a child to his songs, eminem's, ICP's, and eighties rock during spring cleaning... ^-^ Yeah, I had a really wierd childhood but I was a baddass kid!
... "All you wannabe gangsters...broke but braggin' undereducated...your style is dated... I'm back to take revenge... I pull the trigger fast...so many damn weapons that the military's trippin'... people in Seattle hate me...'cause I'm not like a hood...you rock heads wish that you could be a Hip Hop Soldier... In Seattle they all jealous 'cause a brother has made it"
Self-proclaimed Republican rapper, Sir Mix-a-Lot
5 STARS ...fuck wannabe gangsters from Seattle... Mix said it perfectly
dpat2004 nailed it totally. isnt mixalot from seattle? maybe cause everyone and thing was so eastcoast wetscoast focused he never really got the respect he deserves. but reals heads know, i guess
yeah i did alot of dirt back in the days from the 80 all the way till 99 that is. but in 99 i was incarcerated for 10 years so i gotz to chill in the new millie, you know what im sayin?
Dope upload. Sir Mix A Lot was so much more than Baby Got Back. I remember his true underground classics like 7 Rainier/High School Ducks. Not to mention his beef w/ Sir Rap A Lot(Ricky Sinclair rip).lol
Everybody looks at sir mix alot as that dude that made baby got back but they dont really see that this dude was a talented underated mc. If they actually listen to this Swass Album it would surely changed their perception about him. Hey he got paid off a booty anthem but Swass was just raw. A very underated album in my opinion. I love this album personally.
@dpat2004 Sir-Mix-a-Lot dropped knowledge about life in the current system of govt. and has described his and other's experiences using strong solid lyrical prowess. He is underrated to the extreme IMHO and isn't anything close to a shallow pop-r&b wannabe. His tracks still stand up to today's standards and the more you listen to him, the more you understand about the politics of the past which haven't really changed today. He did know how to have his fun though and wasn't always serious.
this was tha shit!! i was holdin tha fort with a 308 rifle and 257 big bore magnum rifle!! bustin off shotz and makin tha bitch ass police duck on grand ave in tha mia!! word iz bond on tha strength!! fuck alllll metro dade cops and bso too!! theyre a bunch of pussies in a straight up head up fade!! so fuck them and all law enforcement officers!!

Every song from the Swass cd are awesome. Not many from his time era were even close to being as talented as Sir Mix-A-Lot was. Awesome CD.
