another example of how sexist commercials are becoming. The female mother is in control setting up the phone plans for her family, wisely. While the husband is the stupid socialite bowling and clumsily pocket dialing people. I love how humorous our culture finds it to make men, more specifically husbands, out to be complete idiots.

@jbizzle557 Marketing evolves with society. The American woman makes decisions for the household. She has a job, but is not the primary earner in the family, and will respond to a portrayal of responsibility. The man doesn't care about these matters beyond price, so he can be portrayed as an idiot, further invoking response from the target mother/wife audience.

The younger audience will naturally respond because of empirical association between phones and getting laid.

This commercial gives me the creeps. I guess they are marketing to women with Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder.

1. The mom steals her son away from his girlfriend (creepy).

2. She yanks her daughter away from her friends (controlling).

3. She treats her husband like an idiot (castrating).

Then, she herds them around the mall in uniform clod. The only person who has any freedom or control in the commercial is her ... and that's the way she likes it ... because she has OCPD.
