@MasterOfAngle that may be for some states but not california which is where im from u have to smog the exhaust on ALL cars in this state unless its not street legal no matter what year removing the cat cause the engines fuel to run hotter and burn faster making it less likely to pass smog k?

well obviously you have never owned a rotary or else you would know not to do that because the turbo's will boost creep and make it run lean and kill your motor in a heart beat.

Funny people are giving this comment the thumbs down when he's actually right about that.

With the way the RX7 was designed, if you add intake, downpipe, or exhaust to the car in it's stock form you run the risk of running too lean because of the increased flow through the system.

You'll end up running more than 12psi which is past what the stock FD can safely run. You'd probably have to change your fuel delivery or get some type of fuel management, or convert turbos to non-sequential.

I miss my fd now :( I had a tanabe smh on mine. i kept burning my cat out so i just went to a test pipe. gotta love FL no inspections

Florida having no state inspections??? Thats gotta be bullshit. Or do you mean Florida has no emissions testing? Reguardless a catalytic converter is not a state inspections item a car can pass inspection without one. Inspecton covers saftey issues like bad brakes, tires, ball joints, etc. and if your car is a 96 or newer and the Check engine light isnt on and the readiness code is set it will pass emissions since theres no tail pipe testing on 96' or newer cars.
