@Makandcheese98 14-16 days they can be handled and at 4 weeks they can be separated from their mother and you should separate the males and females at this time too. leave them in their separate sex groups for about 2-3 more weeks and at 6-7 weeks they are independent and can go to their new homes.

hamsters arent fixed when you get them.. they are too small and dont live long enough for it to be worth it.. they'd probably die if you drugged them out to fix them anyway

Nah, baby rodents are tough little things, they have to be. If anything it would help clear the babies lungs and throte of fluid so it could breathe easier. I guess its like a Giraffe baby slamming to the floor when its born.

u can tell if a female hamster is pregnant because they will become extremely restless, and start hoarding bedding and food, and after about the first 10 days of pregnancy (depending on the breed of hamster) should have large lumps under her forearms, and if you look at its stomach, its nipples will be very noticable. good luck!

Because I was such a genius on hamsters we didn't know we had a male and female, and they had babies. I remember my sister calling me and when I went into the hamster room (we turned a study into a room for them) there were a ton of little pink hammies squirming around. It was pretty startling; I'd never seen hammies that new before. I was glad my sister was there though because she knew what to do.

make sure you know how to look after them, Hamsters are very very confusing animals whe nthey have babies. If you touch the babies you will get your sent on them and the mom iwll eat them, and at a special age the babies have to be taken away from their mom. I highly recomend getting a book about them.
