I agree with everyone else, this phone is horrible. HAS to be the WORST phone on the market. I often: can't answer calls, take more than 2 minutes to compose/send a text, and can't load apps because of its "speed" and constant freezing. DO NOT BUY.

i have this phone and its a good phone, it just has TONS of problem. the only reason i like it is cuz its touchscreen and i get 2 show off 2 my friends :p but it freezes a LOT so i have 2 take out the battery, when u try 2 use YouTube, the vids NEVER load. and when u take a pic, u have 2 wait like 20 seconds b4 it takes the pic. my moms fone (the evo) only take like 2 seconds.

Okay I'm torn. I've been looking through reviews of the Samsung Intercept and LG Optimus V for Virgin Mobile. They keep saying the Intercept is a low-end SMARTPHONE. Well I have a low-end PHONE. Everybody prefers the Optimus because it's better? But I have to have a physical keyboard I mean which one should I get? They say the Optimus is better than the Intercept but Ive never really used an Andriod or a smartphone. Would I notice that the Intercept is worse since Im coming from a normal phone?

@DoYouLykeTacos Get the Optimus V. You will not be disappointed. The intercept, however, is a steaming pile of crap. The Intercept sucks. The Optimus V Is a great device with a standard resolution and just an overall better phone.

I had this phone for about a month before I finally got rid of it. I had no problems with it at first, and loved it. But after about 2 weeks, it started to lag really badly, constantly froze up, wouldn't answer calls, took forever to load applications, etc. It left such a bad taste of Android in my mouth, I'm surprised I gave Android another try. I got the HTC Evo Shift the day it came out, and never looked back.

can you please answer! which would you pick the ascend or intercept? the intercept seems to have screen lag and the touch buttons don't work well it also only runs on EVDO-REV 0 not REV A like the ascend i want the intercept but i originally wanted the ascend i changed my mind really based upon the fear that the ascend's keyboard wouldn't work well for me so how is the keyboard in landscape? it makes no sense also the ascend does live wallpaper how?? the intercept can't with 800MHz!

@lilice1907 I went with the intercept because cricket has a 1gb data restriction. So overall, that isn't that much data, whereas virgin mobile truly gives you unlimited. Over 5.5gb which is important if you want to tether with your laptop or just go on the web often. Also, with virgin you have the option to change plans and you actually save money with all their plans because virgin has no tax and cricket does. Plus you can run more apps like angry birds with the intercept. keyboard is nice

@lilice1907 Also, camera is shit on the ascend. Don't believe me? Look at the test videos on youtube. Then look at the samsung intercepts quality test videos and you will clearly see the intercept has A LOT better quality. The ascends quality is so bad at taking video, that it's nearly unviewable. Intercept has a nice video camera and camera. Weird thing is though is that they are both 3.2? Yet, intercept clearly has a better camera. Intercept is the winner overall. u will save $

well I just figured i'll take a chance and ended up buying this phone. I got it from target because they price matched best buy's price of 219 for this phone and they gave me a 20 dollar gift card on top. This phone isn't that bad at all. I can hear the people super clearly and very loud and the phone has a sensor that when I put it up to my face the screen turn off, and in the middle of a conversation when I pull it away from my face the screen lights up again to let me dial extensions etc..
