I have been working at the cch for a while, teaching - maybe you think, this i stupid and maybe some NGO's are scams, but this one isn't! And theese kids has been suffering and lived an awful life, at the garbage dump - many of them is separated from their sisters or brothers and many, don't even have their parrents among them anymore. Some have been abuseed or raped and theese kids has scars, that will remind them of this, for the rest of their lives! The least WE could do, is help!

my mom came to america after the war when she was 12 and her dad was executed when she was 8 and although they were umm...well sort of high society when the communist took over they had nothing left and money was worthless and then i think and realize how lucky i am to be born in the u.s. where as an american kid ( no off.) we're spoiled compared to other kids in the world

Thats where I would go on Holiday is to the dump.

They recycling whats wrong with that.

"Daily in come $1.50" Cost of small apartment per month $15. Just so you know it dont cost much to live there also.Thats for a small place.

Don't get me wrong there is people helping them and its welcome. They need birth control so they dont keep having kids.

You clearly miss the point and yes you do devalue the work that these NGOs do in Cambodia by leaving comments like this. Disease, prostitution, malnutrition are just a few of the side effects which come from places like this in any society; Irrespective of cost of living per day.

The work of a few NGO's is good most are scams collecting money for them self and are not any better then the place they are helping. Have you seen the way most NGOs live there? Just check the Phnom Penh phone book you will see 1000's of NGOs . Every home less backpacker is set up as a NGO and party's with your money.

Also the 1000's of arm chair NGO's sitting home making stupid you tube videos or reposting others taken and have never been to Cambodia thinking it all must be true I see a poor kid in a dump. They need birth control and cheep housing. Most are all caught up in finding the .00001% of girls who chooses to work as a prostitute that may be 17yrs old and scream under age girls oh the humanity , Then worrying about the real problems.

If they want to help show up at the dump with a bus load them all up take them to the water park ,fun park , buy them some them thing to eat ,some .15 USD cent flip-flops. Show them the free real NGO run schools. Cost to set up a school find vacant lot put up $40. tent teach school.. WOW too hard. Don't turn Cambodia into the USA where you don't need to try to work or find a job the government will provide for you. Just sit home and get fat
