@zid00001 the XK is a quick car, but its closest competitor isnt even the SL. its most likely going to be a CLS AMG or E63 AMG. And both Benz's will give the XKR a run for its money---especially with the right driver. Even the less expensive C63 will beat this car off the line. Sorry to burst your bubble, but even before you compare the XKR to the SL, you need to beat the C, E, and CLS first, or in this case just a regular SL600. The S and SL AMG's will eat the XKR, no happy ending.

The merc is all torque.... is amazing. If you get the gears right and you just step that pedal....this V12 is a monster

Mercedes is just not to the standard they used to be . I know several dealers and they tell me loads of these cars have problems. Sorry guys its just the facts.

@graasroots indeed, i own both many BMW's and a few mercs, they are just too unreliable and have no feel. I would compare them to a lexus ride quality, a bit stiffer and powerful, but nothing like an BMW M or any BMW.
