Just bought a new Rockford P3 12" 2011 model an running it with the lanzar maxpro 1200, the sub is 600 rms could someone tell me how much to set the gain at since its not shown on the amp.

ppl the amp doesn't push 1800RMS it does about 1000rms from what i heard. Don"t say that the amp is no good, if you are running a small system and have a sub that is 1000rms or under you can use it. I am using this amp for a cheep pioneer champion series 12" an it shakes the place.

@MrRazorblood ya,its a nice little amp,especially for the price.You can get these new for like 70 or 80 bucks now.I havnt clamped it,they dont do rated power but still does good and doesnt even get hot at 1ohm.

@MrRazorblood no but if u look around online for reviews there are people that have had them clamped and they do around 900 - 1100w max @ 1 ohm

i am comparing this amp to a Hifonics HFI1000. the lanzar is half the price and I am thinking about which one to get. How is your lanzar treating you?

@WookieeStomper808 No, it's not overkill. The camera's mic distorts from the rapid air movement (this happens in all subwoofer videos) and also the song really has no lyrics, so you can't hear words haha. It's like all dubstep techno.

I have this amp hooked up to two 12" Crunch GPV12D4 running @ 1ohm it sounds amazing but this amp runs really hot. I was wondering if you have the same problem with this amp? Thank you if you get back to me on this question.

@deadlyrolling the amp is mine. at the time i was letting him use it. and yea i do have the same problem with it running hot. if u watch my vids i say in one of em i almost caught it on fire with my american bass xfl. i think it my sub was a d2 like my bros Fi i wouldnt have that problem as much though

@TheCz101 nope stock electrical. for some reason he doesnt get a email when someone comments on his vids. im his bro and i check on his vids to see if anyone has commented and if they have a question i try to answer it. he doesnt really sign in that often and hes not committed to the youtube game like i am lol

how is this amp, im thinking about power a pioneer champion pro 3500w max with it at 1 ohm. what do u think

@Ronix0426 yeah it would push it but it would prolly run hot. his subs 2000w max and the amp prolly gave it around 900 - 1000w rms at 1 ohm and it didnt run that hot but it still had its times when it got warm. now at 2 ohms dont even try it lol i almost caught the amp on fire on 1 12'' american bass xfl d4. them amps do not like 2 ohms at all lol
