  • Hey, nice one!

  • I hope you get on yer knees and pray you don't get fooled again by Darwin's "THEORY"!!

  • you have a very nice voice and great cover and u missed a couple of chords but u played it off

  • shut the hell up GBart and whatever the hell the other guy's name is...christ... just believe what you want... you both have great points...

  • I think I see a cop outside your house. lol!

  • Looks like you been fooled by Darwin. Better git on yer knees and pray you don't get fooled again.

  • dinosaur fossils, ERV's, dozens of independently verifiable dating methods, observed instances of speciation, vestigial structures, atavisms, and bacterial resistance... yeah, all one huuuuuuuuge prank.

  • Not one piece of transitional fossil evidence ever found - which Darwin stated would eventually prove his radical theory. 1891- Java man; 1912- Piltdown man; 1922- Nebraska man; 1982- Orce man; 1999- Archaeoraptor liaoningensis. All HOAXES !! National Geo has a lot of $ for the one who finds (or more likely creates) the missing link.

  • Do you not know what google is? The _first_ hit for "nebraska man" will tell you everything. That site (talk origins) also has a ton of information about the thousands upon thousands of fossils that have been found. By the way, EVERY fossil is transitional. Look up tiktaalik, the evolution of the ossaicles, darwinius, ardipithecus, australopithecus... man, there are way too many to list. Just fucking google it dude. It's not hard.

  • Dude- look up on google evolution hoaxes. Nebraska man turns out to be one single tooth. Not even a human tooth- but a PIGS tooth!! It's called google search- it ain't that hard to find the truth. Jesus said if you seek the truth, you will find it, and the truth will set you free.

  • watch?v=myfifz3C0mI

I told you. WATCH THAT VIDEO. AronRa has already explained it so well.

It wasn't technically a hoax since the guy who found it thought it was an ape tooth - but it wasn't, and it didn't get past peer review. What does that even matter anyway?

  • Dude- google it and search for the truth. There is a reason for the term -'the missing link'. Dude- it's missing. It has always been missing and always will be missing because there isn't one. Maybe your great, great grandpappy was a monkey, but mine was a man!

  • I know what you're talking about. Watch the videos I posted.

    What missing link???

Yes your great grand"pappy" was a man, but far enough back your ancestors were homo erectus, then habilis, then australopithecus africanus, then afarensis, and so on and so on until our lineage merges with that of chimps, and gorillas, and every other animal, and then every plant, etc. The fossils aren't even necessary for us to know this, but we have thousands anyway.

  • Piltdown was a hoax, and "nebraska man" was a (stupid) mistake made by one guy who was never taken seriously.

Retrotransposons, ERV insertions, etc that we have in common with chimps, and gorillas, etc. are not a prank, nor are australopithecus skeletons, nor is our deactivated MYH16 gene, nor our plica semilunaris, nor the palmaris or subclavius muscles, or the coccyx... have you looked ANY of this up?

  • You say fossils aren't neccesary- no wonder you follow this religion. Mr G-Bart, please inform yourself a little more of your leader's own words. Mr. Darwin was unsure of his theory, yet stated that if it were true, evolution would be proven in the future by fossil evidence. Here we are more than 100 years later and not a shred. Zip, nada, nuttin', zero,

  • "Mr. Darwin was unsure of his theory"

So what? If Newton were unsure of the theory of gravity and said it would be proven in the future by us creating giant bodies of mass from nothing, would that make the theory of gravity wrong? It doesn't matter what the hell Darwin thought, man != idea.

    "not a shred."

I listed like a dozen species! And I mentioned a whole bunch of other proof! You obviously didn't look into any of it.

  • You say it doesn't matter what Darwin thought- come on- if it weren't for him, you wouldn't be decieved into believing the evolution lie.

  • It doesn't matter in the same way that it doesn't matter that Newton discovered the force of gravity. Someone would have figured it out eventually.

  • how did life come from dead matter?

  • It's called Chemistry. Nucleobases, amino acids, and phospholipid bilayers all form spontaneously from the random interactions between simple molecules found everywhere in nature, like water, ammonia, cyanide and methane. But this has nothing at all to do with evolution. This is abiogenesis.

  • Well why can't you re-create life using your special mixure of chemicals. Let me answer that one for ya- You are not God!! Only God has the ability to breathe the breath of life into His creation. You may not believe this truth, but that doesn't change the truth.

  • It's really difficult to replicate the process because it involves some specific reactions (where many are possible) with a few molecules. We don't have the ability to manipulate molecules individually. We can, however, wait for it to happen spontaneously, and self-replicating chains of Adenine have been observed forming spontaneously, along with a bunch of amino acids and simple cell membranes. Imagine what could happen with a few million years and a lab the size of the whole world!

  • You CLAIM to know how to create life, but can't seem to do it. You talk the talk but just can't walk the walk. It's just another attempt to deny God. God also created time- good luck trying to explain your mixture of chemicals to create that also.

  • "You CLAIM to know how to create life"

    Not entirely

"but can't seem to do it"

We've seen several of the necessary steps happen spontaneously, and we know that the rest can occur because they are thermodynamically sound and chemically possible.

God doesn't explain anything, because God is not an explanation, "God" is just another way of saying "I don't know". It's like saying "I don't know how TV's work, so it MUST be magic!"

  • Let me know when you have created life- then I will worship you. Until then, which is eternity, dream on. As for your TV scenario, I can assume you have been watching it too much.

  • Why would you worship something that created life? Why would you worship anything in fact?

You still haven't been to talkorigins, have you?

  • Where did God get this breath of life then? What breathed life into God? Or did he just conjure it up magically out of nothing?

  • You are obviously so closed minded and decieved, you have never even examined your creator's Word. Please Check out a book called the Bible, also known as God's Word, the Holy Book, the shop manual for life. It begins with the words, " In the beginning God....". The first book in the Bible is called Genesis and it speaks of how God created man and then brathed the breath of life into him.

  • Oh yea- this Bible is the best selling book of ALL TIME. I know why- do you?

  • The second best is Mao's little red book. Do you know why?

I know why the Bible sells It's because Christians spent 2000 years spreading their religion, brainwashing their children, and killing and torturing non-believers, because Christians can't be satisfied until EVERYONE has the same imaginary friend that they do.

  • Talk about killing and torturing- how many millions did Mao kill?

  • How is that relevant?

  • Very relevant to your eternal destiny.

  • What, because the people he killed are rotting in the ground and being recycled as dirt, same as me?

  • The body turnsa to dust but the spirit is eternal- to spend eternity with

God in heaven or unforgiven of your sins to spend eternity in Hell. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • What spirit?

"The wages of sin is death"

Why would God make that the case? That's evil!

"but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Why? Why does it work that way? Why not just have a heaven and no earth or hell? Why even have a universe, let alone a few humans in a tiny part of it?

Nothing about Christianity makes the slightest bit of sense.

  • Sin is evil and the choice to sin is evil. God is Holy and will reject evil. We are created, not as robots, but with the choice to do good or evil. Even when we try to do good, we still sometimes sin (nobody's perfect). But with God's forgiveness, we are considered sinless because of Jesus taking the punishment for our sins on the cross. There is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood- life is in the blood. The universe shows God's awesome handiwork.

  • "nobody's perfect"

Why? Why would God allow us to be imperfect?

    "with God's forgiveness"

Why does he have to forgive us? Why does he care?

    "Jesus taking the punishment"

You can take someone's punishment but not their moral responsibility. Why would Jesus even need to do this? Why not just forgive us, or better yet not even care?

"There is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood"

Why did God invent that rule? That's unnecessary and barbaric.

    Simply nonsense

  • God created man in His image. Man was given a free will to choose good and evil. Man chose to disobey God's rules. However He loves us and is not willing that any would perish, so He gave us another option (other than being perfect) to continue in eternity with Him. He doesn't have to forgive us - He chooses to forgive us when we use our free will to choose the gospel of Jesus Christ as the truth. Salvation is not a license to sin, it is a choice to repent. "LIFE" is in the blood(get it).

  • Great. I know the mythology, you don't have to explain that. I'm asking why would a good, just, perfect god set up the universe in such a way? Why would he need or want humans to exist? Why would he care what we do? Why would he have to punish or reward us? Why do we even need to be "forgiven"? Why did he even bother making "rules"?

If someone sins rampantly their whole life, and then right before they die, suddenly (and sincerely) repent and "accept Christ", will they be forgiven?

  • If so, that IS a license to behave immorally.

    "He chooses to forgive us"

Why does the idea of forgiveness even make sense in this context? If it's even possible for him to forgive anything that means he cares, or it hurts him in some way. Why? How? Isn't he supposed to not be subject to time? That just raises even further complications and paradoxes!

If we're only saved when we choose to "accept Christ" AND if God already knows whether or not we will, then in what way is it "free"?

  • God cares because He is a loving God. He loves His creation and wants a relationship with His creation. Life is all about relationships-the best one being with God. God is also Just and requires payment for sin. We need forgiveness because we are not perfect. Heaven requires perfection. God made rules just like Mr. Ford made rules for his cars. The rule book says use oil in you car- What happens when you put orange juice in your car engine? About the same as if you drink motor oil.

  • "God cares because He is a loving God."

    I get that. Why?

    "requires payment for sin."

Why? How is that loving? How is it loving to invent sin in the first place?

    "Heaven requires perfection."

When we go to heaven, do we become perfect? Do we still have free will? If it's possible to have free will and also perfection (e.g. god himself) then why is there anything other than heaven?

"What happens when you put orange juice in your car engine"

Yeah, but Ford didn't invent that condition.

  • He can't help that orange juice ruins cars and oil makes them run well. God could.

Nor can we help the fact that we can't drink oil. God could, because everything is in his control, and is his invention, right?

How are you not getting it? The whole thing is 100% preposterous.

  • I was a Christian, and then I stopped believing BECAUSE I read the Bible. I know the Bible really well, probably better than you.

You wanna talk about open-minded... have you watched any of those videos yet?

    watch?v=myfifz3C0mI&

    watch?v=Qfoje7jVJpU

    Watch the whole series!!!

Or have you gone to the talkorigins archive? Look for the 29 evidences of macroevolution on that site.

You haven't looked at any of those yet, have you?

  • oh, and about the Piltdown hoax - if half a dozen physicists photoshopped some fake pictures of atoms, claiming that they were able to see them directly with a new, powerful microscope, would that disprove Atomic Theory?

  • that's funny, Have you ever thought about creation or have you been brainwashed from gradeschool.

  • Now this is an ironic thing for a creationist to say. I was "brainwashed" in the same way that I was "brainwashed" to believe that dogs exist.

I think about "creation" whenever I have to give people like you a lesson in high school biology, even though they have no interest in evidence, or facts, or reality, etc. or else you would have watched those videos and you wouldn't be asking such idiotic fucking questions.

  • What are you saying now- your great grandpappy's grandpappy was a fish?

  • About 380 million years ago, yes, the ancestors of all modern mammals, reptiles, birds, and amphibians was something that looked a lot like a fish.

There are a dozen or so fossils in between these fish-like ancestors and the first land tetrapods, showing the slow adaptation of their bony fins for legs, the bones of the lower jaw becoming the inner ear, temporal fenestrae, lungs, etc.

Also, look up "atavisms". Some humans are still born with small tails!

  • do you honestly believe that everything came from nothing?

  • What? What do you believe God made the universe out of, if not nothing? On top of that, where did God come from?

  • Don't forget-

    God created time also.

  • Try this series: watch?v=Qfoje7jVJpU

Even if we never found any fossils, it wouldn't matter, evolution would still be clearly demonstrated in DNA, comparative morphology, embryology, atavisms, nested hierarchy, vestigial structures, etc.

"Not one piece of transitional fossil evidence ever found"

Yeah, and trees don't exist either. Never seen one. No evidence whatsoever.

  • watch?v=myfifz3C0mI - this too.

  • While I've heard this song a hundred times before, this context has given me a completely new perspective on it. As a born again Atheist, I think it's time to dig out my old Who albums. :)

    God bless.

  • That's The End of Faith on the table, isn't it?

  • ...ok, just read the description.

  • Cool! You really know how to make that guitar talk! Groovy touch with the added effect of the sing-a-long poster, too! And I was there for the previous video and remembered what day it was while I watched. Nice work, Man! ;)
