  • ah xenon the 5th noble gas

  • BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT

  • @Renegade30 Hum ?

  • Wesh Adobe After Effect CS5

  • i want this in my room over my bed lol

  • Touch it.

  • лампа сильно греется ?

  • That's an arc, not a spark.

  • @dontshootmydik STOP TROLLING :D

  • It's one of those things that you have in your room, and when someone comes over he/she is like: ''DUDE what's that! :D?'' and then you say: ''It's nothing'' but what you actually THINK is ''Fuck YEAH they noticed it!'' :D

  • well i think it's easy to fill... xenon is heavy it's almost like water...

  • awsome plasma

  • starwars laser^^

  • talk about lightning in a bottle....

  • where can i get one?

  • Fakeeee!

  • @bmx4alx and gayyyyyyyy

  • @bmx4alx you know nuzzing! schweine!

  • @bmx4alx ppl say you idiot but don't tell you why... xenon or noble gas tubes generate a lighting as seen in video... but commercial xenon bulbs are painted witha flourescent dust in the glass, that distribute the light, so we look for a "continuous light... It's flourescent bright.

  • good. now smash it over someones head

  • EXECUTE ORDER 66

  • Harry Potter vs voldemor

  • @666kyro ...In a tube.

  • Avada kedavra expelliarmus

  • Could this still pump the laser's YAG crystal when run like that? That would be awesome... 20W or more of constant wave YAG!

  • Now it's a star wars staff hahahaha

  • dear santa,...

  • enfia esse baratu no seu cú pleyboy de merda, filho da puta

  • Dont break or drop it cause im pretty sure if that glass was removed you'd be completely fried

  • @shoopdacameron If the glass breaks the Xenon will escape the nothing will happen.

  • can you post a tutorial video?

  • This is real. I designed xenon photoflash drivers for a medical imaging company for years. I would play with stuff like this all the time and can assure you this is 100% REAL and pretty fun to play with assuming you don't electrocute yourself.

Once you break down the xenon to get it ionized (6-10KV to do this, one pulse) you can keep the arc going with 40-120V depending on the tube's standing impedance.

Search "Xenon Photostrobe" or "Xenon Flash Tube"

    Also "Xenon Trigger Transformer"

  • now just harness it between 2 f-15 jet engines and u got urself a pod racer

  • Not many people (including me) are familiar with xenon, and it looks just like someone put this through after effects. It probably is real, but it looks fake.

  • adobe after effects

  • @teac12v More like periodic table of elements. Xenon is a noble gas which, when a current passes through it, will glow. It's how people make blue neon signs.

  • isnt xenon BLUE? that looks like argon..

  • @thdmtr depends on the temperature... it starts with yellow and when increasing the temp can become pink

  • @thdmtr Argon is actually purple, not blue, very similar to nitrogen.

  • @hardstyle905 so seems theres argon in the tube, not xenon, as i thought before

  • Star Wars Race 1 XDD

  • V= ?

  • This is justin bierbers phone number 1-949-292-7934 !!!!

  • @IIF3shC0oki3s as i saw i have Skype and the flag says its from america, he lives in Canada!

  • @IIF3shC0oki3s >:-D Now I can call and hack into his world, and KILL HIM!

  • That would look great inside my PC's case - where can I get one?

  • Tony, you said this kind of technology wouldn't be available for twenty years! And look. It's here yesterday! This is so Iron Man 2.

  • How are you supposed to Photoshop a video???

  • now hold the terminals and switch it on

p.s. post a video of you doig it please

  • Clearly PHOTOSHOPPED

  • @rital312 your sir are a dumbass, did you drop out of grade 3 secience?

  • @rital312 You must be the new 5 year old in my Physics class! I'm sorry! You are too young to be taking this course. You obviously don't know how voltage is modulated and how halogens react to electricity, and how sparks work! Then again, you probably don't even know what I said. Why don't you go back to kindergarten? You'll be here, probably, in a decade or so!

  • @awesomelightning *sniffle* Oh so sorry :'(

...Oh that wasn't directed at me?

  • @cainisme no it wasn't. XD but it was at rital312. this vid? PHOTOSHOPPED? Hasn't he heard of arc lamps?

  • @rital312 Clearly you dont know what you're talking about stfu and stop posting comments like that. Go do your homework kid.

  • The First miniature lightsaber

  • i put one of them across a microwave capacitior and it blew it to bits

  • it's just after effect or some program like that XD !

  • @futherjch you sir, are the biggest fucking dumbass i have ever met. At this point, please feel free to commit suicde

  • yeah light saber! try touchin it?

  • optimist i have found the all spark!!

  • ITS MAGIC! PRAISE JESUS.

  • where do you get these?

  • @alibingol2 Can I dumb it down any more? Not really. Containment field: magnetic field (because plasma is highly magnetic) to contain the plasma (keep it from spreading out. Cutting cone: To cut metal, the focus the plasma into a cone.

I'm pointing out problems because people crying "lightsaber" without knowing jack all pisses me off.

  • holyy crap a lightsaber!!! lol

  • cool ^^

  • It looks like star wars magna-droid weaopnry :)

    And it looks Awesome :)

  • LIGHTSABER !!!

  • Look at the idiot below haha. He says fake. It's xenon why would you need special fx

  • @UpcomingJedi look at the poor soul who failed chemistry

  • @ TheBlackAshTree: An electromagnetic field would supply the necessary control and containment.

  • @FoD117 A light saber is really basically equivalent to a plasma torch, only instead of having a small cutting cone, there is a much larger containment field for the plasma. Of course, there would be problems to deal with such as containing the insane amount of heat given off of the plasma (wikipedia says plasma torches are around 25000 degrees c) as well as various other issues.....

  • @TheBlackAshTree Actually no, the containment wouldn't need to be dropped. It would likely be disturbed by the presence of whatever your trying to cut though.

  • actually this isnt a spark...

Its Plasma and yes....you COULD make a lightsabre with plasma but u need strong and many magnets for this ;P

They are thinking about using plasma as a new source of energy

  • @notbadman Actually, it IS a spark. Though in the electrical field, we call it an arc.

  • That would make one awsome lightsabre :o

  • The numbers wrote on the cover of the book this is sitting on looks like my grandmothers writing, Was that written by an elderly person? Thank you,rob

  • that is so cool i want one

  • Star Wars! hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Unless you're completely retarded, you would gather more knowledge about high voltage before flaming.

  • me 2

  • lightsaber lol

  • That would be the most badass lampshade ever!

  • how u make that i so need to know

  • you can take the xenon flash tube from a disposable camera and a source of high voltage, around 2kV or so. but u wont need much current

  • you are clearly retarded... have you ever seen the plasma globes? you can do something like in the vid with those i do it all the time looks exactly the same

  • I have to agree with HKSpowered. It looks pretty real, but I have a hard time believing that this beam of electricity wouldn't put out more light against the surface of that table... (I guess its a table?) I've seen the same aftereffects done, and it is similar to rotoscoping the lightsabers that some people put in lightsaber vids...

  • @Vegito2287 Try it yourself. A camera flash has a high burst of energy which lights the tube very bright. With this, since the current is too low for that, it creates a constant stream, which puts out very little light.

  • Arguing over the internet is like running in the special olympics even if u win ur still retarded. and i know i didn't come up with this

  • You are actually arguing over the interwe/b/s

  • well I don't mean to just I was saying it's pointless

  • So its pointless to argue over the interwebs like you did past 2 times? ಠ_ಠ

  • @ilhadosmacacos mwahahahahahah

  • so you 69 my mom and stuff?!

  • @HKSpowered - You're eye must not be very trained then, because you clearly can't tell fake from reality.

  • @TommyDeBest

i took apart a battery plasma globe and toched the long spikey thing aganst one end of a camera flash tube and got some pretty awesome sparks:P

  • light saber!!

    it's coming soon :D

  • even though i know it's real, it looks really fake.

  • Pretty sweet ;)

You Can Get Xenon Tubes From Camera flashes.

Also, you gotta Love the Audio Preview:P

  • fuck

  • amazing

  • the dark side!

  • yah jajajajaa

  • I did this for too long and the glass blew up lol

  • breake the glass lol

  • PODRacer!!!!

  • cool vid

  • muhahahah make it into a weapon

  • just what i was thinking imagine being hit by something like that lol

  • light saber...

  • yes that is but it wouldn't really belike one if that were to happen its more like a whip

  • dark side of the force, electric shocks lol

  • lol looks like the thing from starwars that powers the speedracers.

  • Iannacc95-it's xenon you idiot :D

  • What a Hell??

    The Star Wars Swords??

  • i wanna touch it rly bad lol

  • thats what she said haha

  • hahah wow

  • lol dude you tottaly owned him or her

  • you just got owned!

  • ???? what did i say??? i can't find my first comment lol

  • Guick question, possibly to owner:

Do you have to keep a xenon pump refilling the tube continuously?

  • Comment removed

  • The tube is sealed, so it does not have to be refilled.

  • You need a vacuum pump and a high temperature and clean fire source to refill lamps. And also glass baloons with spectroscopicaly clean gasses, often nobel gasses, rarely metal vapours.

  • uhhhh it didnt tell us how to make th purple light thingy

  • lol?

  • wtf?!

  • yes xenon is a Gas, The spark is purple because Of the ionisation of the gas. Is the minimum energy required to an electron from the ground state of of gaseous atom or ion. upon the atom returning their is a photon released and photon has specific frequency that is why it is purple. That is a simple exlaination.

  • NEERRRDDDRRAAAGGGGEEEEE

  • the gas is xenon. thats why its purple

  • what a gas inside ?

    or it empty

  • dang is that plasma?

  • light saver waaaaa awesome.......lol

  • its saber not saver u idiot

  • chill dude were not all star wars faggs haha

  • dude, u dont need to be Star Wars nerd to know ITS SABER INSTEAD OF SAVER!

  • and thanks zerosktr111 :)

  • hahah!! lmao im laughing that shits funny huh..

  • mercanaries i thnk your so cool

  • toll.

  • omfg its a lightsaber lol

  • lol wrong

  • price please ??????

  • heh i didnt get u first time :D

  • Oh i thought u spitt on Russia......

  • Why?

  • the point in making a comment like that is...?

  • looking COOL?

  • wow.. is xenon a super good conductor?

  • my tube did got hot

  • wow. lol. homo

  • zeta reticuli is numero uno.

  • in no world of fantasy or truth will canada ever rule anything... not even itself.

  • If you would have bothered to look at this guy other videos you would have realized it's probably easier for him to actually make some electric sparks then to edit a video.

  • after effects!!
