nice cabin, but i dont think the chimney from the woodburner is safe going thrugh the wood, its should really have a metal sheet there, just saying.wouldnt want you to burn to death
Nice little cabin, I like the all around setup, and I understand that your reasons may be different than mine but I would put something in front of those windows (reverse shutters that open from the inside, or at least some blinds) I'm real big on security and I would hate to hear that somebody got the drop on you by scoping you through one of those windows.
@toppertruthio but seeing your target and shooting blind is the difference between 1 round and 50. If you have a deer in your sights (and your a decent marksman) you can kill the deer. But if its pitch black, just try to get a bead on the deer without special equipment. Shooting into a building and shooting a target through a window are on completely different ends of the spectrum.
damn thats sweet! Thats what i want, but i need a bigger cabin because it will be in michigan and when it snows, me and my 5 dogs will get stir crazy in a little one like that. 700 sq ft sounds better lol.
Coming along nicely Alex. I just finished installing a cast iron fireplace in mine. That thing is going to put out some serious heat. I see the electrical outlets - solar or generator? By the way, a little TMI at the end, ha ha. David.
Great video!

How are you powering your cabin. I see you have lights and outlets but I don't hear any generator?

I'm envious. Looks nice and isolated, Alex. Sometimes one must just get away. You need more kitchen surface, though. Looks too sloppy for me.

Nice setup mate. I subscribed so i can see it coming along.
You say you are going to build a bigger cabin on that site so i can't wait to see that too.
If you look in my playlists i have one for log cabins. You might get some ideas from that.
You could fit a good compost toilet in that enclosed porch and store wood on the other end.
Good luck mate.
I'd be doing it if i could afford land but its so expensive here in England. Plus they have regulations against building etc.
