  • I still never really understood what he meant by "The wolf is now returning me to Sesame Street."

  • Dem pigs are engineers

  • Wolf Singing.... "I'm gonna cook you for supper...." LOL

  • Herry as a werewolf!

  • @Charla1606 Yep, even as a kid that wolf always reminded me of Herry Monster

  • Anyone know what that creaking sound was?

  • @Cuteblondie1972

And LOL at Kermit trying to educate the wolf on what he should be saying...HAAAA

  • "Blow this house down..blow this...hehehheeeee..Tis to laugh"..LOL at the stupid pig

  • Frank Oz voicing the first little pig......prophetic.

  • @efil4own1 And not only that, when the three pigs appear on Sesame Street nowadays, one of them is almost always voiced by Eric Jacobson, the current voice of Miss Piggy!

  • The pig's curly little tail is attatched to the center of his back.....funny video

  • I always wondered how that fire hydrant blew off out of the ground with no water sprouting out of the ground.

  • The wolf blew so hard that he caused a disastrous wind storm.

  • @hornean Possibly a hurricane.

But how do they produce the clouds in the background? Is it some kind of projector of some sort?

  • Looks like if Herry Monster and the Big Bad Wolf had a baby, it would be this particular wolf!! LOL

  • haha the pig is sing "pig of my heart" & the big bad wolf singing " i gonna cook you 4 supper". hahaha

  • STRAWWNG HOUSE !

  • The first pig comes on singing "Pig o' My Heart". LOL!

  • That's a scary ass wolf

  • This wolf scared the shit out of me.

  • "Hi, Jeff, how's the wife? She's on camera? Oh, I'M on camera..."

"Good Heavens, it's quite a breeze he's got going here..."

    Love those lines.

I saw this one back when it originally ran on TV. It's among my favorite Kermit News Flashes.

  • Kermit reminds me of Clark Kent for some reason here. Christopher Reeves version of course. Great segment BTW! Thanks for uploading!

  • 3:01 someone's hands on the crew is exposed when blowing away the tree on the far left.

Nevertheless, I'm guessing that the fire hydrant and lamp post were pulled with fishing line to make them look as if they're blown away.

  • Don't forget that mailbox that comes flying out of nowhere!

  • No kidding. That was right before Kermit could not hold on anymore. I hope he didn't get hurt when he was offscreen. lol

  • i am in deeeeeeeeeeeed

IM going to make them an Offer the cant reffffffffffffffuse

  • LOL, that's the funniest looking wolf I've ever seen.

  • I'm gonna cook you for supper.

  • Oh! I am indeeeeeeeeeeed! LOL!

    Offer they can't refuuuuuuuuuuuuse!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • They used a very angry, threatening oversized wolf in those days, compared to the cute puppy of today.

  • This is my first words!!! "Open DA door!!!"

  • When I was little, I used to think the Wolf was saying "I'm gonna make them an offer they can't read the news!"

  • speaking of a 'strong' breath, folks...lol

  • Anyone know how they made it look like the clouds were blowing away?

  • How awesome is Frank Oz as the first little pig? "Pig of my heart"

    and "straaaaw" - classic!!!

  • Did you guys see the hand in the background pulling the tree out of the ground?

  • From 1971, as probably one of the very first Kermit's news flashes for Sesame Street.

  • He seems to take the whole subject rather lightly

  • straaaww

  • This video is a comedic roller coaster ride in its purest sense. Once the wolf sets the wind in high gear, everything gets literally blown to bits. I love how the lamp post falls over and the fire hydrant takes off like a rocket. Eventually Kermit gets blown off camera as well.

  • Don't forget the mailbox that comes flying out of nowhere!

  • Or in this case, the fire hydrant takes off like a "little rocket ship where dogs go pee-pee!"

(Sorry, I couldn't resist the Full House quoting ;) )

  • This pig sounds like Bert and Fozzie and the Big Bad Wolf sounds like Herry Monster.

  • That wolf was adorable, it didn't scare anybody x)My dream as a child was to hug him xD

  • I especially love the line "an offer they can't refuuuuuse". Poor Kermit.

  • Apparently the house of straw and the Sesame Street News cameraman are the only things impervious to big bad wolf breath.

  • Looks like the wolf forgot to brush his teeth! I'll bet that at 1:45-1:47 and at 2:01-2:03, Kermit is probably wishing that the wolf had some breath mints to take. LOL!

  • i luv the lil pigs accent!!

    sooo cute!!

  • I know what you mean! "Because stwaw is wight as easy to cawy". I love it!

  • so jeff how's the wife? she's on camara? oh I'M on camara! LOL

  • alot of these skits have funny beginnings like this - i love em

  • another good one is when he did peter piper picking peppers.

"what's that? you want to wipe off the microphone?"

    get it? LOL.

  • "somehow I thought he'd say that."

    LOL.

  • I just noticed the wolf is just Harry Monster with ears and a muzzle!

  • Remember you saw it Sesame Street foooooolks!

  • yeah, that part always cracked me up

  • i member dis frm when i was 4 or 5 my mom got me a video cassette called big birds story time way back in tha 90's and it had this on it!,good times good times!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember that, but it was totally hacked. They cut the NEWS FLASH logo, Kermit's pre-on camera comment, the "Remember you saw it here on Sesame Street, fooooolks!" line, and the crash at the end.

  • this is fantastic, i think u only appreciate it when ur older!!!

  • This was first shown in 74, was it not?

  • Most likely 1971 or early 1972. The 1974 News Flashes had the regular opening logo and Kermit's gray hat instead of the brown one.

  • According to the Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook by David de Rothschild, straw is a good energy-efficient insulator.

  • Tis to laugh! HA HA! Awesome stuff! Thanks for the video.

  • Little pig little pig Let me come in

Not by the hair of my chiny chin chin chin

Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow

    the house in

  • I think Kermit should have prepared for the hurricane or the tornado like the little pig did! ;-D

  • Yes he should have

  • Ohhhh yessss. I remember this version of Kermit and the Three Little Pigs. I also remember another take of Kermit and the Three Little Pigs where the first two pigs' houses were already blown by the big bad wolf, and they were angry and sad respectively, and the third pig was proud because his brick house was still standing and he invites the other pigs over to his place. Does anyone remember that one?

  • I do. The wolf was small and green in that one, instead of the giant blue wolf or the current lavender wolf.

  • That sketch can be found on the Sesame Street Video Player

  • The one with the three pigs' feelings? Yes it is.

  • That was funny

  • One of my favorite all-time news flashes! This also marked the Big Bad Wolf's first appearance on the show, and he still appears today.
