Dharma initiative is a group of ppl brought about by Jacob(in his roundabout mysterious way) to research the island and find a way to kill smokey. I dont blame anyone for not knowing the answer to that, because they never explicitly answered it. They just threw a shitload of clues to it throughout the seasons, because explicit answers was never what Lost was about. Anyways, I dug Howards criticisms because at least hes funny with them. As opposed to the rest of the joyless fucks in the crowd.

Pretty much every single question that they bring up in this stupid broadcast is answered at some point in the series. Perhaps they don't answer things outright, but if you had any sort of depth to yourself, you'd be able to read into what the ending was, and the questions that it answered.

Because these things, at the end, were unresolved, which is ok, BUT THEY ALSO WERE USELESS in the plot. Sure they wanted to confuse us so we can't predict the ending, but at least they could have explained what are they (the woman who killed Jacon and the MIB's mother; what's the connection between the island and heaven, why the MIB was not dangerous anymore at the end; who's Eloise; etc).
I don't need EVERY loose end tied up but I do have some basic questions that should have been resolved...How were Jacob and Richard able to leave the island to "visit" candidates? Jin and Michael died in the freighter explosion yet Jin was still "alive" and Michael was still tied to the island.??? Where did the Others come from??? How did Widmore know about the island?
@qqrk1372 Richard was able to leave the island via the submarine with specific coordinates; whereas Jacob was able to leave through the island's magical powers (like Ben did & ended up in Tunisia after he spun the wheel). #2. Michael died in the freighter, Jin did not. Jin survived and floated back to the island on wreckage.

I don't need EVERY loose end tied up but I do have some basic questions that should have been resolved...How were Jacob and Richard able to leave the island to "visit" candidates? Jin and Michael died in the freighter explosion yet Jin was still "alive" and Michael was still tied to the island.??? Where did the Others come from??? How did Widmore know about the island?

@qqrk1372 Richard was able to leave the island via the submarine with specific coordinates; whereas Jacob was able to leave through the island's magical powers (like Ben did & ended up in Tunisia after he spun the wheel). #2. Michael died in the freighter, Jin did not. Jin survived and floated back to the island on wreckage.

@HandBuhnana That freighter explosion should have killed Jin. But since all the main characters get shot in the shoulder I'll let it go. LOL

@qqrk1372 #3. The Others originated as the Island's original inhabitants after they were shipwrecked a long long long time ago. #4. Widmore knew about the Island because he was recruited to go there when he was younger, became a leader, and was later banished from the Island.

@HandBuhnana The shipwrecked people were wiped out by Jacob's mother. there was no evidence that more were on the island. Where did she come from anyways??? And who built the statue and temple?

@qqrk1372 The temple and the statue, you have to assume that the Egyptians were on the island at some point way before Jacob, and that they built them. Why is it they never showed them? Because they would've been nothing relevant to the show other than that they built those two things...that's that.

@mario54671 NO! That is NOT that. There are plenty of loose ends and blind alleys left that were never addressed in the finale. So many that plenty of viewers besides myself were NOT satisfied. This show crapped out in the fourth season with the whole time travel mess and never recovered. By the end many of us just wanted it to be over. And THAT is that.

@qqrk1372 Loose ends being you not using your brain to answer the previous questions based on what hey gave you, OR the "loose ends" that didn't really matter because they had nothing to do with the entire point of the show? The finale wasn't meant to be an answer key, as you and the "many others" you're referring to think it was supposed to be. Basically what you wanted was for them to rush the story and answer every possible question they could. You were watching the wrong show, sorry.

When a writer writes a story EVERYTHING is there for a purpose. Whether it is a main focal point or not. Pull your head out of your @ss and take a good look around!

@qqrk1372 It's well out of my ass dude, I was satisfied because the finale tied in the things that mattered, and hell, I went back and am rewatching everything and I'm answering things based on what they gave me. They answered more than you think they did, you just need to go back and put the pieces together...as you always needed to do with things like the flashforwards from Season 4. Stop arguing with your emotions and using insults, it doesn't make what you just said anything any better.

@qqrk1372 Also, the answers you're most likely looking for are all the "why this, why that", like "why is there a light, what does it do" etc. That's not something that you can really answer, all they did was just tell you "this is how it is". Why is Hurley able to speak to dead people? He just is. Why is Miles able to speak with the dead? He just is. If you'd like a boring answer to everything, then sorry, again, you've been watching the wrong show for six years.

Like Howard I gave up on the show YEARS ago. Too much BS and gimmicks. Though I did play catch up before watching this final CRAPPY season. The Finale didn't need to wrap up all loose ends but it should have made some kind of sense.

i know Howard likes a lot of cheesy reality shows and rarely listens to anyone's opinions but his own, but is he fucking RETARDED?! the whole attraction of Lost is the mystery.... SO WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY EXPLAIN EVERYTHING?! if they explained everything then it would've ruined EVERY SINGLE EPISODE for anyone rewatching.
