You might be a gay basher "if" you started out your Christian life by believing you were saved by grace, but now you are trying to teach humankind to earn brownie points from God by keeping all the rules and regulations instead of loving them as they are.
It's amazing to me that some gay CHRISTIANS can keep going to churches where they are beaten up week after week with a reminder of how sinful they are and that all sinners go to hell. I Corinthians 13:5 "Love keeps no record of wrongs."
If you obey God with the belief it will improve your standing with God, or that He will love you less if you don't, then you're sliding into legalism. But if you obey God because you love Him and know you are deeply loved by ABBA Father, then you are basking in the warmth of light of His grace through Jesus Christ.
There is an amazing diversity and beauty in the Body of Christ! The Bible says this about God, "All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people. The variety is wonderful!" 1 Corinthians 12:6
I am sick of people saying that those who want to change are doing so out of "self-hate". Not true. I DO NOT HATE MYSELF!!! I acknowledge that I have a struggle in my life and I believe that there are better things out there. That does not in any way mean that I hate myself.
Dear Reality: having worked as a volunteer with an Exodus ministry,from experience that they know what they are talking about. the God and bible you seem to disdain is the very God and scriptures that have lead them out of homosexuality. It takes work on the part of each person who wants out. Ck 1 Corn. 6:9-11; Fear not - in the bible 365 times. What are you waiting for?
