I brought my own muppet the day this movie opened in theaters for the first time, everyone loved both my muppet an the movie,so did I<3! MARCH 20TH PPL,IT RELEASES ON DVD YAAAAAY *wiggles arms up front* =)!
I was a 90's baby and I still got awesome shows like the Muppet Babies, Batman Animated Series, Pinky and Brain, Animaniacs, and Gargoyles. I may not have been there for the era of the Muppet Show but at least 90's people still got good entertainment. Seems unfair posters only say the good stuff was during the 70's and 80's. It was in the 2000's that things began to suck but not entirely until around 2005.
Two days ago, on a Saturday, was the special day that 6 friends and me planned to go to see this magical movie we only could hope for was coming out, with only rumors and hints of this movie from unreliable sources on the internet. Finally, our dream came true 2 months ago when the first commercials played, featuring the Rainbow Connection. Then, the day came true two days ago, at 6:55 that we got to sit in the very front row with useless 3D glasses. We all sang along during Kermit's solo.
This number is by far the most iconic moment in recent Muppet memory. All of the Muppets singing together on stage could mean so many things to so many people; to the lifelong fans, memories of what the Muppets once were, coupled with where they are now going; to the new fans, the realization that they are witnessing something special that cannot be imitated. It was at this moment that Jim Henson, with Richard Hunt, smiled from above, realizing that his creation is now in good hands.
@MrPie i agree they were up there smiling but try as i must to be optimistic im just worried eventually disney will change it and not for the better. i mean i almost grew up on power rangers and disney single handedly almost ended the rangers legacy. just hope they dont take that road with the muppets
@Hectorferjr2 I think it did which is why I started bawling well not bawling but I was wiping my eyes. LOL! That and I was thinking back on my childhood when I grew up watching The Muppets.
@pinkflower7783 me too...i didnt grow up on seasame street, i was shown the muppets and fraggle rock. now they own the rights i hope a fraggle rock movie is next and they do as good a job on it as they did with muppets
@y2joct7 Same here 83! I might not have been around when The Muppet stuff was originally out or aired but I remember when they used to air it on TV. I still consider myself growing up with The Muppets. I hate that crap they have on where you have to becareful what you say or you'll offend someone. Back then nobody cared.
@y2joct7: they've been wanting a fraggle movie since 2008; karen prell--the in house fraggle geek--even brought tomboy red out of the rook for promotional work.
