  • I have to sing this piece for Missouri State Choir Auditions and I think it is absolutely beautiful.

  • I just did this in honor choir =) I love this piece!

  • We wer given a slight faster than this tempo but I think I like the way they blend here...

  • GREAT RECORDING! :D Hee.

Every year we practice this for All-Suburban auditions and unlike most people, I actually really like it. This is a FANTASTIC recording, brilliant quality,m the choir itself had great intonation, blend, and balance. This so would have gotten a 1 easy if you went to contest with it.

The conductor took it a /little/ faster than I'm used to, but still, very brilliant! Thanks for posting!

  • Omg my madrical group is learning this song for western district, it's really nice but it's so hard and there are so many notes for soprano ones. Hopefully we do well which I know we will.btw great job ^^

  • its meant for a smaller choir and it should be faster

  • Of course it's meant for a smaller choir, but this was a high school district chorus and was the required piece for their All-State audition. And, no, it's NOT supposed to be faster. The tempo is as indicated in the music......perhaps you just SANG it faster.

  • yes I have the music actually beat is 4/4

  • That would be the time signature, not the tempo. Time signature has nothing to do with the speed of the piece. Look for the "m.m." marking. I believe you'll find the performance is as indicated in the music.

  • My music has the entire piece in mostly 2/4 anyway...if I remember correctly this piece is never in 4/4. But yes, the tempo is entirely different from the time signature.

  • 5 star rating given.

For the enquirer, the words are:

Exsultate, justi, in Domino; rectos decet collaudatio.

Confitemini Domino in cithara; in psalterio decem chordarum psallite illi.

Cantate ei canticum novum; bene psallite ei in vociferatione.

Exsultate, justi, in Domino; rectos decet collaudatio.

  • 5 star rating given for this.

  • hi can i have the whole lyrics of this great choir song?

  • Ah, I remember Exultate Justi when Don Krudop directed MY District VII Concert. Let's see...that must've been 2003. We also did "Praise His Holy Name." It was great. Are you a student?

  • Krudop directed this concert as well, and we also did "Praise His Holy Name". This was my last All District, I graduated Spring 2007.

  • I remember that we had to sing that as an audition piece to make it to All-District. I was in that 2003 Concert, and I remember singing "Banquet Fugue"!!
