  • What a charming adaptation :) I LIKEd! Thanks Swagata for the nice music you did for it!

  • @Strekoza

Thank you very much, Strekoza! Appreciate it. I liked your video too, though didn't understand the language!:( Is it Arabic?

  • @sbanerjee108 Ah, no, no!! Hehe, they aren't mine :) I just uploaded them! And it's Hebrew :P

  • It sucks. I can do better.

  • DISSAPOINTING .....this could have been alot better if it was more natural...the creatures just slide along, much better if you took the time to have them walk..this looks like a low- rate commercial animation from the early 1970's

  • @iorioriorio oh just enjoy it without talking of its flaws, max did :].

  • happy holidays.. :)

  • Beautiful!

  • I liked this! Thanks for sharing! ^_^

  • I just ♥ this

  • If i was send to bed every time i said "i will eat you up" to my mom my life would pretty much suck

  • i was hoping to get some 3d tests of the wild things on the movie DVD

but nope we get dogs running and kids taking over the picture, BADASS!

  • This is a nice rendition. My favorite part is the flaring nostrils on the wild things.

  • This is from UGA?? oh yeah... Go bulldogs haha :D

  • playdough? disney's version of where the wild things are is better then the real ife movie is EVEN BETTER

  • the preview screenshot looks like a 3D

    max's tail looks cute :3

  • I wasn't sure what to make of this, but sitting next to me is a much more discerning critic, my four-year-old daughter, who just said "Daddy, can we watch it again?".

  • @palaeochora im 18 and even i felt like watching it again ^.^

  • Awsome work!!

  • Well done, very, very well done. Forget the haters! This video is classic. I love it.

  • the kid learned his lesson, and never smoked from his mothers stash

  • @lacan75 lol

  • I love claymations

  • i like it but there not really doing "wild rumpus" theyre just moving their arms and going in circles

  • I read this book. It was pretty good. I tried to imagine how it would look like if it were real and you showed me.

  • he must have been realli high

  • loved!! i loved

  • i fell sleep ....it was boring..

    the womans voice is scary

  • Scull, the book is soo short and beautiful in it's own right, but the film captures that beauty in a way that allows adults to see the beauty again. Childhood wore off, the book is just not what it was without the energy of a childs mind. So I am thankful for the movie. And the arcade fire.

  • This is so bootleg...yet so intriguing

  • I would pay to see a full length feature film of Where The Wild Things are made in clay. Don't get me wrong, i did enjoy the recent film but i just think it didn't carry that charm from the original book. And the characters didn't act like mean ferocious monsters. Instead they acted more like an argumentative comedy bunch from a cheesy movie. This clay version is really unique and enchanting. The feel it gives you reminds you of childhood, a thing the recent movie by Spike Jonze didn't.

  • i loved this story as a kid. it still gets my imagination going.

  • either this kids retarted or he smoke some of mah weed

  • this is super cute! good job ;)

  • this is very nice i was in a play and it was based on the movie of where the wild things are

  • You call waving your arms and walking around a wild rumpus? About as wild as my great-grandma on a sunday afternoon.

No, I'm just being a jerk. Very well done, especially considering it's not a professional production. I'd be lucky to make these figurines, much less make them move.

  • nicely done

  • i loved it, so good!

  • Very nice, I'd hope that this would have been a bit smoother in the animation, but good for being done on a tight budget, if any.

  • a uni student did it? epic fail sorry but i expected better from a uniii none the less a GROUP of animiiatioin students

  • My god! This is 10 times better than the actual movie! Nice job dude!

  • wow

  • Lol, it looked like a choreographed wild rumpus to me...

    4:56 Look at Max's eyes

  • D: this is so CREEPY!

  • the eybrows... theyre ALIVE!!!! XD

  • wow did you make that out of taking pictures of clay and putting them together? =3

  • yes....

  • wow.... thats cool...

  • Liar Liar! I went there and could not find!

  • XD i love max's eyebrows

  • haha

  • cool

  • his eyebrows look liek worms~!!

  • Some heavy metal or screamo would have worked for the "wild" rumpus.

  • hah. some Wild rumpus..

  • almost perfect

  • Reminds me of those videos they use to show you back in primary school as a whole class. It also reminds me of getting up at like 5:30 in the morning and switching on tv. Stuff like this was always on alongside the weird little kids programs lol. 5 stars.

  • @Scullnblades stars?

  • amazing but creepy

  • it was coo....i don't remember a sea dragon being in the book though.

  • Wtf is wrong with carol? And where is Ira???

  • that dog was tryin to bite that boys tail lol

  • Spike Jonze makes one movie with the wrong names and everyone thinks those are the names, nothing's wrong with Moishe yo.

  • I know!

    what's up with Carol??

  • Well, My favorite is Emil so stfu. I'm sad they made him look like a real chicken cuz he's not! And he does not EARS!!!

  • man the wild rumpus should of been wilder

  • that kid is a little twat. lol.

  • was he giving the mom the bird when he shut the door!

  • well i think u did a reeli good job!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the line at 4:04. makes me think of this story every time

  • the first time i've read the picture book, i'm like "why is this great?" and then i've read it again.. and i've read it over and over... and it was a great story!

Really excited with Spike Jonze's full length version...

and this claymation is awesome by the way...

  • sooo true

  • Haven't you ever heard the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" ?

If you really think it was one of the "worst videos ever" you really need to look around youtube more. I've seen videos that aren't even really videos.

  • @SocialDeviant77 YEAH! like some of mine! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @SocialDeviant77 that wasnt very nice said

  • stop motion + using clay isn't easy....lets see you make one, taking over 5 thousand pictures, rearranging clay shapes after every picture

  • I HAVE made several of them, because I am an ARTIST!!!!!!!

  • I tell ya one thing, being a fan of clay-mation, I seriously think that this 6 min. video looks way better than the movie.

  • holy shit!!! holy shit!! this book always scared the crap outta me!! MAX IS THE SCARIESY THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! IDK WHY!! i was sooo traumatized as a child by him, i used to have really really violent nightmares about him, so bad that not only would i sleepwalk, but i would be crying while doing so. its still scares me shitless to this day. (i dont sleepwalk any longer, btw) but i still have nightmares about him!

  • i agree this is completely freaky!!

  • Nice

  • look at that I find it so funny that the wild things are of a little kid!!!!!

  • This is sooo cute. it must have been hard to make this.

  • kinda scary...

  • Guys and gals, thanks for all your comments, this way or that! Please remember, though, I did just the music, and was not a music major or anything like that. Just did it for fun and for the love of it. Also, there was no budget for this, and had to do everything in one single day and against various odds, though I'm not looking for excuses. So, some comments on the music, its aptness and effect on the movie will be welcome. I also agree, art is subjective, and this is far from reality, folks!

  • This is great!!! This is and has been one of my favorite books for a long time. Go Dawgs!!!!

  • Wonderful! Let the wild rumpus start!

  • Fantastic! I read the book as a child, and to see it recreated in claymation is amazing! Anyone who criticises it may not realise how much effort goes into making something like this. Great work!

  • The growls of the monsters sounded great! kinda scary for a kids.

  • I thought it was incredible. I love it!

  • Very good but lighting was too dark.

  • that was awesome
