This chick told me if my mother didnt take any drugs then I wouldn't have turned out this way. I'm not even sure how to react. My mother had a clean pregnancy and didn't take any anti-depressant. Im not one to just let people walk all over me, but if i would have stayed and listen to that chick she'd probably have a black eye. It just sucks, cause is that how people look at me?

@FckURlifeHo rocker bottom foot, is when the tendon in the foot is to tight and sorta lifts the toes off the ground. so my toes on my right foot dont touch the ground.

im14,so this age right now is very hard for me to go through, but luckily im a strong lil girl and most of the times i can handle it. i juss like knowin that im not alone in this world with this kind of problem.

Denmark did a study in 2004 following children born with cleft lip and cleft palate. They found that we have a much higher suicide rate than the general population. Those in the study with only a cleft lip but not a cleft palate didn't have an elevated suicide rate. But if you feel depressed don't solve a temporary problem with a permanent solution. GET HELP! We are statistically at risk according to this study.
For everyone with a cleft lip and palate, myself included: LOVE YOURSELF and LOVE YOUR CHILDREN BY NOT HAVING ANY! Normal parents give birth to 1 cleft lip and/or palate baby in 700. We give birth to 1 in 16! Don't be selfish. Don't take that chance. How would you feel if YOUR parent gave you a cleft lip and/or palate because they had one?

No, you're not. I was born with Bi-Lateral cleft lip and palate too.
I'm 23 years old and i've done 9 surgeries. 2 of them was heart surgeries, due to the fact that I was also born with a cardiac malformation.
In high school I suffered a lot, but now I'm ok. Just got my degree in nursing and I'm waiting for the last surgery.
What I can say to all is to be strong.

Your "friend" isn't cool with the shit you say. He just isn't smart enough yet to know that he should avoid toxic a-holes. You have no idea the pain you're inflicting or perhaps you do and don't care. That's probably more like it. and asked me what was wrong wiht my lip and before I could respond-- they said "did u like.. fall down the stairs or something?

Kids are the cruelest ! I promise there are. I've had people *even now* ask me if I was in a bad car accident...and it's like OK common sense, if I was indeed in a bad accident don't you think something other than just my nose and lip would be damaged...just a thought. <3 Ignore the comments of those who know no better. Ignorance is man's greatest downfall.

i had the tubes in my ears and i had to see a speech pathologist! i understand everything! i always had kids come up to me when i was little and aske me "what's wrong with ur lip?" the funniest thing some1's ever said to me was "ur scar looks like a lightening bolt! cool!" lol
