No I have no regrets, it's a sweet system and it wasn't that much. I tried building the same machine at several popular custom pc websites and the price was not that much different.

Imhoping to get the x58, maxed at high-performance, it costs around like $3800 now but with a nice LCD screen and a TactX keyboard and mouse with custom lighting for the desktop itself its around 4500, not bad. while playing a high quality game like cod or l4d ur looking at 150 frames a sec. ol eh hell. :0

I agree with you Jorge, and yes, they are great computers. The good thing about Alienware is that they last. I built my own PC, and let me tell you it wasn't cheap. To get the sames specs of a $2,000 Alienware, it cost me around $1,900 so really, there is no such thing as a cheap PC.

I just got the x58 wartime edition with the i7 920 (liquid cooled), gtx 295, and 3 gb ddr3 @1333mhz for 1488 USD which is what i would expect to pay if i got everything separate.

Second, the reason people get desktops are for the multi monitor displays, High end graphics, and things you could never do with a laptop or a shitty ass mac.
