So big companies like Coke, Kellogg's, etc will lose money. Along with hotels because vacations will be a thing in the past. Restaurants will also lose money because everyone will be eating at home. Basically, a lot of businesses and average Joe's are going to be losing money.
How much of fuel prices are from taxes? Also, the word was out long before the Libyan conflict that gas prices would reach 5 bucks a gallon. This was planned a long time ago. There is no reason the US should be dependent on any Middle Eastern oil. Blame congress. They are the culprits!
Want to save on gas? Ride a bicycle. I have been doing it for 4 years now and will never look back. I live in a very bicycle unfriendly city(the drivers) with a lot of hills and am not exactly in the best of shape and yet I make it work. Most months I average $20 on parts or repair.
They make the bike work in cities like Copenhagen and Amsterdam, why not here in the united states?
