I think he is transforming into a lizard did you see him when peter went to the future he looked like a lizard the way he slithered against the floor or possibly a snake!

i think that mohinder is taking on the characteristics of a spider, i believe this is right because of the cocoons he made as well as climbing up the walls.

I disagree,

that painting, for starters, was hiro fighting a t-rex, and it was fufilled when hiro had the sword and was posing in front ofthe t-rex skeleton at the museum,

Although we don't know for sure if that fulfilled the painting, so, lets see.

After watching Angels and Monsters Mohinder seems mor insect like....like a cockroach. He frequently said cockroaches were God like because they had been around for hundreds of years. Alson a large cockroach was seen during the first and second season when someone was killed...(except sylar didnt die)

Very farfetched...but I did originally think Mohinder was turning into a lizard-man like Dr. Connors in Spider-Man plus in season one his dad named his pet lizard "Mohinder"

I dont mean to fully crush your theory but i have many answers to all the stuff you said but with Mohinder i think his ability is alot like beast from X Men just his getting scales and changing to more a aquatic or reptilian person and as for Toyko being destroyed that could easily be caused but Jesse (the Sound manipulation guy aka sonic scream) could just use his ability to erupt volcanoes and cause earthquakes and stuff and cause the world to be destroyed. Thats what i think

i think that he will gain some kind of reptile abbiltiy. In fact even more so by the painting of hiro fighting some kind of dinosaur in season 1. I also think that the formula hiro is chasing is the very same one mohinder discovered and either peter or hiro is tasked with going back in time and giving it to the company which is how it all began!
