@skinatzi007, I"m sorry you choose to eat fastfood. I don't work in retail, I have Asperger and retail jobs and sales jobs are not the right type of jobs for people with AS. I have everything straight - I have no desire to pay any company $40 or $20 per month for anything. I have no desire to sell insurance or sell anything for that matter. This is why it is not a "job" it is a "business opportunity". If it was for everyone, no one would be doctors and fireman and police - or musicians!

@sandbar3000 As funny as it sounds, you "sell" evergreen time you interview for a job. Besides that, I don't think of it as selling when I help a family protect its income from financial devastation. It's more education than sales. An as far as the 25 friends and family, are you really selling them something by showing them how to protect against this devastation? Who would trust you more? A friend or a perfect stranger? You start there to build confidence.

This is why some people like the industry, to earn MORE! Some people NEED to earn more than $100K a year. They are greedy! This is not a job. This is why you have to be really SLICK in your talking. @sandbar3000 All you need is a job, which means all you need is to settle for not what you're worth, but what someone will pay you. Why wouldn't you want to be paid what you're worth? Also, if a job lays you off, will that affect your life? If you are not financially independent, you are vulnerable. If you're willing to run that risk as opposed to building something that gives you financial freedom, be my guest. It's not for everyone anyway. Some would rather follow than lead.

If needed, look up the definition of "pyramid scheme." Performance based off of recruiting is not a pyramid scheme. Performance based off of the money you make from recruits is a pyramid scheme and most never last for more than a year. Educate yourself

I'm looking for a regular ole W-2 employer and this is NOT it. This is for the one that desires to make "earn" 7K a week. Not for me. Nope. No thanks. I'll keep looking for a REAL job and earn 50K a year and - I will not have to give the "employer" $300 for me to get my first paycheck.

He called me again (I wasn't home, so I missed the call), sometime November 2011. I left him a message saying "Did you forget me telling you to never call me again". He lives in Orange County, CA. I hear you sandbar3000. It's all a choice that we are given...the free will to decide for ourselves if it is for us. Personally, I will never represent Primerica in that way. It's about helping people, and has been for years. Some people, such as myself, have tried and failed with traditional "jobs" that you recommend. In my profession (design), good "jobs" are very hard to find especially in today's climate. Not sure why it's $300 there...only $99 here, which pays for the background check.

If I was to own my own business, I'd open up a non-profit and help the poor. This is my own personal defintion of "helping" people. This is my personal choice and this is why I took classes in non profit business for my MBA. My dream is to be a mommy and own a nonprofit.

Primerica has been in business since 1977...that is 34 years and counting folks. They are traded on the NYSE, and listed with a high grade on the BBB. Get the facts.

@GasNuts, yes, you are right. I have read that they have a A+ rating with the BBB. I just didn't share that info. Why would I, when nothing but "over zealous" sales people want something from me. I don't have money laying around and they ask me for "It's ONLY $300". Well good since it's ONLY that much, then the sales person can pay it for me. They are money hungry and living the dream of wanting to make 7K a week. They need a real 40 hour a week JOB

The point I am trying to make since you didn't get: If you are NOT WORKING, not on unemployment or SSI and have NO MONEY coming in, you need a JOB, not some silly business "opportunity". I was being offerened a silly business opportunity when all I needed was a JOB and earn about $20K a year. A business opportunity is for someone that 1. already HAS a job. 2. Has extra money around each month to go find people that have money. Get it now?

That's not Primerica policy, so report those people, please. I work for Primerica part time with NO ONE under me and I'm making money, so the recruiting is not necessary. I'm a licensed insurance Agent and I help families protect the income of the breadwinner. No scam, just hard work. It's not like a lemonade stand, mind you, where you sit somewhere and customers come to you and you get paid whether they come or not. You develop your own customer base.
