11 months clean, but it took me catching a felony possession charge, and sitting in jail for 5 months before i decided i didnt want this lifestyle anymore. I am STILL in recovery & dont great. It's possible, but you really have to work hard for it and decide you dont want to live like that anymore!

He’d been a real pain in the office, constantly showing everybody pictures of his young son. All I did was wish him well “this time around”, pointing out that he’d been “a failure as a parent the 1st time”- which was TRUE (a son from his first marriage had overdosed at 17).

We should not let those with a problem die off in an attempt to aid in stabilizing a more healthy population, but should instead educate so people no longer have an enormous amount of children. I'll be in pain the rest of my life. I was put on one if the strongest narcotics around (way way way stronger than morphine) 5mg of it is equivalent to taking an 80mg oxycontin. I was on 20 2x daily and 5mgs as needed up to 6x daily. That's a lot. I got addicted. Used my scripts (C)

this documentary has been very eye opening for me... i know somebody who has a serious addiction problem, and this video gave us an insight to an addicts life. I hope we can eradicate drug peddlers with a more effective law system but in the mean time the family members have to be more aware of the symptoms, the result of drug abuse etc. Thank you for sharing the film...

@elitexero Yes I have used a few times with others who had it, but I never went on to seek it myself!! I agree to its power. Having no Dopamine in my brain and child abuse in my past led me to accept it when it was there. Now therapy and anitdepressants work the wonders for me.... I was lucky but do not look down on the addicted....

I'll be in pain the rest of my life. I was put on one if the strongest narcotics around (way way way stronger than morphine) 5mg of it is equivalent to taking an 80mg oxycontin. I was on 20 2x daily and 5mgs as needed up to 6x daily. That's a lot. I got addicted. Used my scripts (C)

this documentary has been very eye opening for me... i know somebody who has a serious addiction problem, and this video gave us an insight to an addicts life. I hope we can eradicate drug peddlers with a more effective law system but in the mean time the family members have to be more aware of the symptoms, the result of drug abuse etc. Thank you for sharing the film...

My friend, I recently found out (and how STUPID I feel not realizing the signs) is on smack and I want to educate myself to see what she is going through so I can help her before it's too late. @nguyenimproved Why do you say that it's too late for her? She is hiding from me now b/c, IMHO, she let me into her "world" and weakness. I hear there's only a 2% chance for heroin addicts but I want her to be in that 2% that gets better.

@faegrrrl shes hiding from you cos she selfishly wants to chase her own ends. i said its too late cos by the time someone outside finds out shes on heroin shes already got a habit. you wont save her. shell at best just go in a cycle of quitting then getting back on to the wagon and getting found out by loved ones who'll feel betrayed. in a loop. anyway theres a reason these ppl do this. its not a case of "getting them off drugs" but finding that reason and giving em something better.

@elitexero Yes I have used a few times with others who had it, but I never went on to seek it myself!! I agree to its power. Having no Dopamine in my brain and child abuse in my past led me to accept it when it was there. Now therapy and anitdepressants work the wonders for me.... I was lucky but do not look down on the addicted....

I have never been on drugs but I do feel pain in my heart for the people that are on it. Everyone does not know what path life takes and maybe some of the people that have done this have been lost in their life somewhere along the way. What if your fucking mother was the addict. Coming from the one who openly admitted to doing heroin without getting hooked, which is bullshit. Read a medical book, after the first hit of heroin your body very quickly starts becoming physically dependent on it.
