@VictimRattlehead look, i know there is alot of discrepancy about what genres certain bands or albums fall under, and i personally dont care, but i think alot of ppl would disagree with you on saying DM is thrash. it just doesnt sound like old metallica. the song structures, speed and lyrical references are there, but tuning the guitars down and James does not sound the way he used to.... idk its just not thrashy enough.

@redgibson1 i agree with not sounding like old metallica. but personally DM and ajfa are my favourite two metallica records. the only downtuned song is Nightmare and it's drop d. i think the singing is simliar what's different it is that the production on his vocals dont have reverb and the old albums until black album were full of it. that's it. if they produced the next album with flemming i would garantee you that it would sound thrashy and heavy as fuck.
