no your bang on there mate , I read Ian's book and they said on the coach Elvis was such a self indulgent downer that when he went asleep they all wrote stuff on him with make up and cut his clothes and took the piss out of him to get him to lighten up a bit and to be honest Elvis admitted it years later that he had been pretty anal initatilly,,
@spadge321 It's a shame. Elvis is a really great songwriter, probably on a par with Ian himself. He should have had more self-confidence and not felt threatened.
@spadge321 Alcohol and Elvis were not such a good combination. . . . remember the last time Elvis got liquored up? He was dropping 'n' bombs all over the place and made that infamous remark about Ray Charles. . . . also, Elvis later admitted in an interview (it might have been that "History of Rock and Roll" documentary) that he thought the entire punk / new wave club movement in England back then was, in his words, a load of pretentious shit.
Unbelievably cool.

Much appreciated - the tour was classic and the film was reckoned unreleasable - until now :)

Thanks! I had always wanted to see this.
Trying to woork out if Elvis C. resented Ian's popularity at this point. He doesn't look happy!
