  • Whats the wwll incident and is it available to watch or was it something that happened in real life and not on the show? Also whats this episode called?

  • After the WWII show incident Hal went backstage to comfort Dixie and she said to him they saw my pretty and and Hal said but it was very lovely.

  • I remember hearing about Dixie's embarrassing moment on the reunion show.

  • The real story is even funnier. During the WWII flashback in one episode, Dixie whipped off her overcoat and the front of her dress was tucked in her panty hose showing her "fancy". But not to worry. Hal said it was very nice. LOL.

  • Dixie Carter has such a sultry voice i love it. Julia Sugarbaker Rocks.

  • The woman that mooned Atlanta

  • Hilarious! Love it!

  • I will never leave this house again.

Dixie was the one and only Julia Sugarbaker in my book.

  • lol.....600 Mi Radius....Suzanne blew it all out of proportion.

  • Love those tight dresses Dixie had on the show. She had a nice ass

  • RIP Dixie Carter,no one could tear into someone with such class.

  • im gonna be known as that woman

    that mooned atlanta

  • RIP Dixie

  • Cultural correction: Southern women say "stockings" not hose. "Hose" is vulgar, for reasons that remain a mystery to me. The reason is probably too vulgar to say out loud! Ha! Great scene though.

  • Anthony's face at 2:33 is priceless!!

  • I just love Dixie Carter . She will really be missed by me and i'm sure many others

  • R.I.P. dear lady - and know you WILL be remembered for your grace and style (as well as your exquisite acting abilities and comic timing).

  • @BillMilliron

I was shocked to learn of her passing. I wish some network would air Designing Women again. This show is never gets old and is always entertaining. Characters like Julia Sugarbaker should be reveered on every generation.

  • RIP Ms. Carter - You will always be Ms. Sugarbaker to me...you were the best.

  • HA HA HA...classic scene...just classic. RIP Dixie.

  • What i don't understand is....where was your underwear? - Cracks me UP!

  • RIP "Julia"...Dixie Carter passed away today...

  • Oh Snap... She said Swine Flu!!! LMAO

  • And let me tell you.....it was stunning!! LOL

What I don't understand is.....where was your underwear! LOL LOL LOL

Suzanne, I told you, they ask me to ONLY wear hose, because the dress was silk and otherwise you could see a pantyline!! LMAO!! Only Julia could say it like she did!!

    CLASSIC COMEDY at it's BEST!!

  • people were gasping. people were falling out of their chairs

  • Juila mooned Atlanta that is way to funny!

  • You have just gone over the line.

Even mother is asking who is the pig your carrying on with OMG this show was way to funny.

I lived in the south and some of the most odd and bizzaree things I ever saw was down there lol.

  • i love Suzanne's outfit

  • from now on im going to be remembered as that woman.....

    Suzanne : who mooned Atlanta.

    ROTFL!!!!!!!!

  • What I don't understand is..."Where was your underwear?" :) She'll always be remembered as that woman who mooned Atlanta!!!

  • OMG THE SWINE FLU hahaha

  • This was one of the funniest episodes ever!

  • Suzanne, always bringing julia back to reality with hr remarks.

  • Suzanne; Where was your underwear? Julia was concerned about a panty line. That is what thongs are for, JULIA!

  • Thongs weren't really worn back then. PLUS, Julia Sugarbaker in a THONG?! No way, not in a million years.

  • @SkullNBones11 pantie hose, not a thong.

  • @reb5stun that was in reply to my comment where is said Julia should have worn a thong if she was concerned about vpl!

  • oh, poor Julia.. and Dixie for that matter..

  • I saw a chick come out of a bar bathroom with the back of her dress tucked up in her panty hose not long ago. I graciously told her about it. Her boyfriend thanked me; he didn't notice either. At first he thought I was making a pass and wanted to punch me, then when I called her "sweetie" he knew what was up and wasn't threatened. Gay men are women's best friends, 'cause we tell them the truth.

  • This & the one where everyone is snowed in ahs to be my favorites

  • THIS has got to be the funniest episode. Jullia and her panty hose incident, Charlene and her waterskiing incident; Mary Jo and the Honeymoon incident. How hysterical. ONE of the funniest ever. Thank you for posting this.

  • I just love the way Suzanne tells a story! Poor Julia!

  • this actually happened to Dixie Carter in real life.

  • OMG! That's horrible! She's tough though. I bet it she took in stride.

  • When Annie Potts tells that story on the reunion show...its the funniest thing i've ever seen!!

  • Really? when?

  • not sure of exactly when It happened. but look up the reunion show and they tell the story there. Hal Holdbrook said "Mrs. Carter your fancy is showing" or something like that.
