Ik wens dat ik kan als u kampen. Vielleicht ga ik naar Nederland volgende jaar, dan kan ik beter oefenen. (Ik kom uit Australië en judo is echt kein hier! 'T geeft vaak niemand m'n gewicht of zwaarder. 'T is 'n grote problem voor mij, hoor!)
Ik verlies altijd, maar ik zal nooit stoppen! (Ik heb slechts 2 strijden en dus 'n klein wedstrijd gewonnen. Ik heb sinds 2008 gelernt... eh, I heb in 2007 uit 'n boekje gelernt.).
@Spanishade I rather doubt it. Huizinga is partly to blame for his partner not being hurt. He lets his uke free right when i touches the ground so the guy who gets thrown around can direct the energy from the fall. Thats also why he gets up with the same pace as he goes down. So no he's not really hurt.
I have been the uke for a Japanese black belt who is Australian champion and take it from me, it doesn't hurt! Just brakefall.... Or even not! Because the tori is so highly skilled, the landing, no matter what speed, isn't so bad.
Then again, I was under 65 kg (now 75) and I was thrown by a well over 120 kg muscular self-defence instructor (a judo brown belt) (a Dutch guy) and smashed my head on a chair (accidentally) in a demonstration at full speed and force and I got up instantly for the next throw... so maybe it's just me :P. (And this uke)
If you kick at an experienced Judoka they'll have you on the ground and the fight will be over if you don't know anything about ground techniques. But, yes, you should definitely pick up Judo though, you'll be twice as good of a fighter with that combination.
I would rather be his Uke than Uke of any beginner. His throws are perfect, so you fall down the right way without pain. My experiences are that a skilled Tori lowers the pain very much!
He is talented

Why is he stopping every time?
AikikaiAikido 2 years ago
Uchi Komi, it means that you only make the move without throwing. The second time he throws.
HannoBeeldGeluid 2 years ago
@AikikaiAikido
Because it's hard work :/.
But in Aikido, that doesn't exist :D. (Well, other than training, but the throws are... ermm.. well..)
