Only reason to do this option ghost mission, is to go for the all completed mission achievements. Even then, you don't have to trash your campaign to do it anymore. just goto the console in campaign or at end of the campaign then play it.

Yes he is right. There is a place which sends some kind of hormon to your brain. When that is destroyed the brain just won't control the blood. And it will happan as he said. I saw it in the "Brain" document from BBC. (It's just like in the mission "Shatter the sky" you only take don't the cooling towers and the whole platform explods. Not because of the cooling towers are that explosive, but because they are keeping the platform from overheating.) He is really speaking the truth.
