I am a pacific northwest fisherman.I have long believed the plan to eliminate commercial fishing is from big oil. Not only would they love to reduce their liability but they, by law, must remove offshore platforms once they are pumped out.

The cost of removal is 10's of millions sometime hundreds of millions of dollars each. With fishermen gone they can turn the platforms into fish farms without competition.

CCA is a cheap vehicle made up of deceived foot soldiers willing to do their bidding.

Great video, I always said that te CCA was a corrupt organization. If we can get these Northwest fisherman to see the light, there might be a chance to get them out of this area. But then again, you have sites like IFISh that has ruined the oregon coast fishing, so I doubt we will all see eye to eye. Down with the CCA and all of its supporters.

Thank You for helping expose these fascists. I've seen drastic reductions in the # of full time fishermen on Hatteras in the last 15 yrs.All due to dumb regulations. Heres one for today. The horndoggers cant land today till 3:30. It has to be 48 hrs after the proc. was issued. Its reopened for 3 days only.They were done catching there 3000 limit by 10:00. Thats 2 dumb regulations. False holds in boats, transferring catch offshore (when not permitted) falsifying trip reports, Rec fisherman hiding overages in bushes, in sand while sitting atop them when investigated, the list goes on and on. I have commercial fished all my life and I have never seen many commercial fishermen break the laws we have. we get stop by cops way more than any sport fisheremen ever do But in saying that there is bad people in every walks of life

Up here in the Northeast it's a big problem. It works against the commercial guys and gals out there trying to make an honest buck , and the rec fishermen and women who wonder why things are the way they are. Several times we've tried to get language in the regs that make economic sense, but it is usually shot down because of the dishonest ones.

It's impossible for anyone to dispute where the CCA gets their big bucks when they are forced by law to list their contributors. That kind of thing was done withcomm buyouts in specific fisheries inthe Northeast. Problem was, a lot of them then went to another fishery. I don't see whereCCA wants commercial fishing banned, from everything I've seen they always maintain that sustainable fisheries is the goal, with the well being of the fish stock the highest priority. There are some that want to do the best thing for the fish, as that continues their livelihood, and there are some that would catch the last fish in the ocean

Last time I checked the DISCLOSURE FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, Fondren (EXXON) gave the CCA 1/2 a million dollars. Then the other oil companies followed. You fit right in with many REMAINING CCA members that haven't jumped ship. BTW... Anyone can access MY information online. Give it a rest? Sorry but I must disagree. One of the "science authorities" that was disputing something CCA had proposed was, after a little work, found to be under Federal Indictment for submitting false fishing survey reports. He made them up at his home, and spilled water and fish blood on them before submitting them. These are the kind of "experts" that keep saying that CCA doesn''t understand fishing. I commercial fished for 15 years, clammed for 20, and still have a hand in the water, so to speak.

Too many times, fisheries management decisions were made in the spirit of two wolves and a sheep deciding what was for dinner.
