Yeah, he should've included a link to the actual tutorial that explains how to make this effect......this is actually just 1 of 7 effects that he shows how to create in order to create a really nice explosion effect, which is made up of all 7 particle systems. I would post links to the tutorial and demo video, but youtube doesn't allow them.
