You know what I noticed while playing this game? You can save the game at any frame, even at a frame when you're asked to make a choice. I would often do that so as not to accidentally get a bad ending. But apparently you have to play through Keisuke, Rin and Motomi's endings to get to Shiki's. :(

Have you guys ever had the problem of BGMs playing fine when you played the game, but character voices not playing at all? That's the only problem the game is giving me and I don't know how to fix it.

@FEKittenanna Another quick question for you. Were you playing the PS2 or PC game? Also, if it's the PC game, did you ever have the problem of the game freezing at certain points, depending on which choices you made? There's a point here you can choose to go in the stairwell with Rin and I choose to, later I meet Keisuke and the game freezes right after that meeting. If I choose not to go with Rin, the game freezes at some point during Akira's dream instead, near the end of it.

@tsukasa1kun I know this old and you've probably found your answer but just in case you haven't... you should probably change your language to Japanese for Non-Unicode language or whatever the language the game you have is originally in.

Not only that, but if this were the problem, why would it cause the game to freeze only at those specific points and let me play through something like the first 3 hours of the game without any other problems?

@tsukasa1kun You don't need the Windows CD to do it. All you need to do is go to the Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Regional and Language Options and click on Administrative at the top and you'll see something like "Change system locale," and you just go from English to Japanese or something. The same thing happened to me - the only difference is that I'm playing the game in Chinese. I couldn't go beyond meeting Keisuke or going with Rin to the stairs.

@mylittlepuppies I don't know which version of Windows you have, but I have XP. So what you said doesn't exactly apply. In Control Panel, I have the Regional and Language Options, but when I double-click on hat, there's no Administrative tab. The three tabs I have are Regional Options, Languages and Advanced. Since this window has a limited number of characters, email me at cyndane01@sympatico.ca for the specifics of how to change the language without a CD in Windows XP.

@mylittlepuppies According to many references, you do need the Windows XP East Asian Language Pack to be able to find japanese in any of those lists, so I think I am going to borrow a friend's CD (mine has gotten warped for some reason). Thanks for the help.

The only way you can get on Shiki route is that you have to beat Rin route first then you can go for Shiki. When Akita first meets Shiki choose choice 2 then you will be on Shiki route

Oh man your lucky to have the PC version. I only have the PS 2 version. Its cool and all but im mad that they changed Shiki route alot and cut out most of his storyline from the PC version. Shiki is my number one favorite hes so cool
